Yeah thats right, my first 7 days with poker ended. It was a whopping success with 5k hands played and $0.38 won.

Although My success was marginal (-,-), It was a worthwhile experience. After getting Tracker, i have realised massive leaks in my game.

I chose to play NL2 for and play a couple K hands. I fogured that the best for me is $2 buyin, and I play 3 tables at start and 6 at the end of the session. Here is what I found out from my analysis:

Number of tables
I have very bad negative fluctuation during first 10 minutes on my first session of the day. That is why I will from now on start on 2 tables and open more only after I am warmed up.

As for table setup, I tried cascade, but came back to spread of small windows up to 6. I see all the action, I can chat with others and my gf is not bored with my frenetical swapping of tables when she is watching.

Post Flop Play
All my winnings were wiped out WHILE PLAYING PAIR. One pair play cost me almost every single winning I gained with all better combinations. *sigh*.

I have to seriously rethink my strategy on high pairs especially and stop being overconfident with them. Guess its a typical fish problem that I had to face.
Other thing is pairs smaller than 10. I was calling with them way too often and they were the second most leaky part of my game. Now I will fold early position and max call smallest raise with 99 and below.

Tilting
Massive fluctuations in my play in line with bad mood are a huge problem. I am not able to play poker all day, as at the end I fall into a rot. I need excercise, beer here and there etc. I decided to run half marathon in 2 months and the training regime should be enough to keep me relaxed while playing poker.

University starts on thursday, but it is only 2 days out of five, so I should be able to invest a lot of time into poker. See you at the tables ;o

Fishy Fish

Hey guys,
I changed from Starcraft and facebook poker to the real thing. So far I found out why all the starcraft players are so successfull at poker - hours of training, strategy forums and lots of theorycrafting before the actual game and the mixture of the two are very in both games.
But my macro suddenly doesn't make a total outsider out of me anymore and I actually believe I have a chance to get some more benefits than fun out of gaming.

Anyway, my questions are:
Bankroll: In Micro stakes 0.01/0.02 NL, how much should I buy in for?

I play 2-3 tables and usually stick with the $1, but the majority of people have $2-$5 when they come in.
My bankroll is ~ $48 atm. Should I move up the stakes or buy-in on 0.01/0.02 tables for $2, or keep playing the same stakes with $1?.

I play poker for 5 days, went down to $30 from $50 starting bonus on Poker Room School playing SitnGoes to get to CDPoker (as PRS cash tables were down all the time) and made it up to $46 in one day on NL 0.01/0.02.

I play 2-3 tables because I took the LP beginners advice to play extra tight/aggresive style and when I raise 3x min with good hand, others almost always fold so I actually play only very few hands.

Could you answer my questions and comment on what I am doing right or wrong?
