So I decided to just post some fun hands from the last week or so. Poker has been very up and down but I'm running like God in omaha, which is always fun. I'm up maybe 12kish € or so including rakeback and such. Not great, but I'm happy with that. Not gonna post suckouts and such except if I do them. Need to think positive. Not posting when people snaplolcalls my rivershoves in rr'd pots with QQ despite turn and river coming K and A. Mostly because I felt to dumb and don't want to relive it.

So I'm finally up 10k for this month, if I include rakeback. Still 10 days to go so it might yet be a shitty or really good month, but right now I feel good about it.

I watched Obama's big speech today. Not all of it, but the last 10 minutes or so. Some of the stuff he said I didn't really like, and I'm not sure that I prefer him to McCain, but I will give him that he's a really inspiring dude. He gives hope, but I'm not sure if that enough. If he actually is prepared to piss a lot of people off, and not only big companies, religious nutjobs and republicans, but also trade unions and hippies I'd say he might be really good for the USA. If he continues to give favors to his friends like earlier politicians I think the situation will blow up in his face sooner then later.

On thing is sure though, if every citizen was like him USA would be mightier, stronger and better then Chuck Norris.

So yesterday I was down like 6-7k€ playing 10/20. I don't have 100bi for that level but I figured out that it's a stupid rule because if fish sit I want to sit. Maybe not if I'm downswinging, but otherwise it's all cool. Today a guy I know a bit came over and railed me a bit while I was playing cash. Played 5/10 and 3/6 and lost about 2k to begin with and I felt a bit annoyed about that. AK vs KK and AK vs QQ allin pre vs the same dude.

After that I started getting some hands, made another big suckout a little bit deep and suddenly I was even. The I started winning every hand for an hour and so and ended the session up almost 7k. I was up a bit in a session earlier today too so I'm recovered from that 10/20 session pretty good. Back on track to a 10k month which is my goal for the first 5 months this year. Obviously more is better, but I don't want to be too greedy.

From now one I'll play in any game I feel comfortable playing in as long as I can state a good reason to sit in it. I also think it's important to test my wings at decently high stakes from time to time. I learn a lot and with time I'll get used to it and hopefully be able to be a reg there sooner or later. I also think it helps in crushing lower limits.

Overall I feel good about my game right now. I'd say 7/10 or something where a 10 would be noticeably better then ever and a 5 would be somewhat uninspired but decent.

It's also great fun that a couple of my friends have some success. Could be a decent mid stake mafia here by next year, especially if Saki gets his head on straight and studies medicine here when he gets tired of living the dream in Canada.

So my sister came with the train today and moved into the empty room after the other room mate who moved in with her boyfriend. Now we're me, my friend and my sister in this apartment. My sister's friend came over too and we've been playing smash bros on Wii and watching some How I met your Mother episodes for a while now.

In poker I'm probably up 6kish€ in January rakeback and such included. Don't have a tracker for omaha but it's between 5k and 7k I think. Goal for this month is 10k so despite a downswing of more then 10k I'm on schedule.

Might go out for a beer or five tomorrow. Haven't been drinking since new years eve so I'm pretty happy about that.

So today sucked a bit. Lost a little bit today also, but still up for January. Not that much but too much to complain. Anyway, I've decided that I'll be a poker pro in june, when school ends. Thus I should start acting like one. Therefore, I hereby declear that I'll keep to a 100bi bankroll management plan and I'll only break it if I'm either in a heater (as in, had decent wins 3 sessions in a row) and/or a big fish is in a higher game. Not that I really feel that I need it, but it'll be good for my mental health. So basically I'll grind 2/4 until I've won a couple of bi and then play 3/6.

As for IRL my new class seems semi-decent. My favorite law-gay is in it, as are one of my better friends. The teacher seems super chill and the rest of the class seems decent enough, even though a couple of people seems weird as hell. Whatever, it'll be a nice change from last semester since our teachers this semester actually seems like human beings and knows what they're talking about. Overall I'm happy with that.

Other then that me and my roomie watched surviving Christmas (low expectations, but it was ok) and a couple of episodes of How I meet your mother with Thin Girl. She's a bit cuter now then last I saw her and she's nice enough. It was either Sanai from this forum or maybe a guy called Zeratum or something from another forum we used to post at who wrote something along the lines of; "I love skinny girls; even normal sized boobs looks huge on them". Not that this girls boobs look huge or anything, but skinny is still very nice. She's also very nice, so she might be a part of the "OMG let's just watch a movie, it's fucking freezing outside!"-gang.

Bah, back to dota^^.

I skipped a lecture to play poker and lost like 6bi to some random tagfish at 5/10 HU. Lesson is; stay in school boys.

Also. The fact that the early bird catches the worm is nothing but proof that the worm should have stayed in bed.

I'm still up a fair bit in January but I hate losing sessions. Might just do other stuff/grind 1/2 or something a couple of days unless I feel like playing. Saturday night sounds a bit to juice not to play though.

Lady Fortuna is annoying, but she's addictive as hell. And overall she's good to me so I can't complain really. The fact that this annoys me only shows that I'm a complex person.

My new class for this semester looks really weird, with the exception of a dear friend of mine, some girl Pinball made out with and some old chick that's still hawt there's like no people I recognize and like half of them has really funny-sounding names. I think a lot of them are like middle eastish, but not in the normal "Mohammed"/"Achmed"-way but rather in a "ok, let's just arrange a lot of letters randomly to make sure that no infidels could ever pronounce it!"-way.

Excessive facebook stalking leads me to believe that most people either are to old/boring/weird/non-internet-personish to have facebook or not-so-impressive. I even found a clear case of commuie-hippie-left-wing-random-girl and a case of "OMG there's just no way I'll ever like that person".

CHLWR-Girl looked a bit like my social science teacher. That's nice.

I'm so happy I'm taking a break after this semester. Just gotta figure out what I can study on the side while I'm busy making shitloads of money of poker. Suggestions?

Up 8.5k€ in hold'em (running good), probably like 3-5k or something in omaha (running like god, some dude accused me of cheating after I sucked out vs him 2 times :D). Playing decent, but not great. I make a lot of mistakes but I think I've identified a few leaks I'll try to remove.

Want some comments on this hand. The donkbettor seems somewhat competent and Laggy, some kind of HS-reg on prima. The dude who bets river is a trappy nit whom I've never caught bluffing in a small pot that I can remember. I've looked him up with decent TP's and stuff a couple of times the last weeks or so and he's had me all or almost of times. I have no reason to believe that he can valuebet thin.

1. What hands do you call flop with.
2. What is the worst you'll call river with (or, frequencies for calls with bluffcatchers)
3. Is any hand from 2. not a bet on this turn?
