So after my massive fails in earlier blog posts, I've finally picked up my game. I feel as though I'm really crushing NL25 at the moment. My biggest leak was that I would stack off too lightly, which I fixed. Though sometimes I might make some bad folds, it's much better to fold for 0 EV than call and take a huge negative EV proposition.

More importantly, I was also playing SC the other day on iccup. Haven't played in a while; I used to be C- ish, but I played a TvZ vs someone named shipitholla_1. Asked if he was from TL or LP, but he said 2+2 and I instantly crushed him, gg.
Here are the stats of the session lololol:

Poker is hardest when...
edzwoo, Nov 08 2008
Your cbets work 10% of the time
All your decent hands are 3bet by nits
Scare cards ruin your action
You flop the nuts in a multiway pot and get no action
Every draw misses
NL25 is ez
edzwoo, Nov 07 2008
Just gotta keep up that mentality and I'll be fine. Some people on LP should check out my last blog post because I think it's crucial.

Finally, a winning session
edzwoo, Nov 06 2008

Odd way to finish a session. People always say negative things about EV graphs, but I have an unhealthy obsession of looking at them. Looking at it makes me tilt so much, but I can't stop looking at it.
Anyways, here's the hand. It wouldn't have been so horrible if the other guy won.
+ Show Spoiler +
I also realized something crucial which may account for why my AK runs like garbage. When I join tables for Stars, I sort by average pot and put myself on the waiting list for the biggest ones. I just realized how stupid this is. The reason why Stars shows the average pot being so large is because those average pots just happened. That means the majority of the time, the fish probably just got bombed in a huge pot. Very rarely does it actually mean some crazy maniac is shoving every other hand, getting it in bad, and sucking out.
What ends up happening is when the wait list empties and I join the table, the fish are the ones leaving and all the regs are swarming in to get in on the action. A small average pot doesn't mean bad players aren't willing to donate money, it just means it didn't happen yet. Obviously I leveled myself in table selecting.
Another thing is I am now joining only fast tables (unless there are sick fish in others). I normally 8-9 table (all that can fit on screen without cascading), and it's easy to keep up with that many tables. Would only make sense to increase hands per hour.

24 table NL5 to relieve stress
edzwoo, Nov 05 2008
Since NL25 is being cruel, I decided to 24 table NL5 because it's fishiness is almost the same as NL2 but everyone is deepstacked like NL10.

People literally try to give you money in NL5. I don't know how you could possibly lose at it.

Even worse is that I can't claim I'm running the worst in NL25 because Night2o1 is getting raped even harder. Makes me feel like YellOw in sc.
