When you shove all-in preflop with KK or lower you always start with bad odds because there's always chance to face AA, but you still keep on shoving big PP, because you hope that there will be times when you'll be against a weaker hand, maybe try to look at roluette the same way, you actually don't know what will come at the end and there's no chance to be sure during the bet that you will win, but yet you know that you play according your bankroll and that you have enogh money to wait for the moment when you get it.I'm not trying to persuade someone that playing roulette is a good thing but all these comment make me think that actually noone of you has actually tried to think in deeer level about the game and yet again my post was for those of you who eventually did think or see a reason to give it a try.Anyways, I'm thankful for all your comments, hope that soon will prove you wrong or go bust, whatever comes first

This thread is amazing!

LsDDeaDD, can you actually outline:
1) Do you believe it's actually +ev to play roulette?
2) Do you want to play it longterm/grind it or book a win and quit?
3) what is your system for winning, can you let us in your secret? Like you flip when you lose you flip 3x more until you win or sth?

Assuming infinite bankroll, no upper bound for the amounts you can bet and assuming the casino will pay you your winning however large it is, any game where you have positive winning probability is beatable. As gawd mentioned it's called martingale betting strategy, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martingale_(betting_system)

Other than that OP is obviously trolling.

unless your bankroll is infinity no system will overcome that 2%

imo there are better ways to spend an infinite bankroll

even if you had infinite bankroll you still couldn't win because you can't make a profit above infinity /trollface

You need to stop deluding yourself poker is a skill game, roulette is entirely gambling end of! You can't beat the game unless you have a supercomputer figuring out the physics while at the casino which is banned.

OMG what a flawed way of thinking ...
When i shove KK i have a insane hughe positive expectation cause the one time they might have AA doesnt even play a role when the have AK,QQ,JJ,AQ so much more often

lol whats wrong with u

Hm i am down ~ -500€ lifetime in roulette
cause i thought in shortterm results its a good chance i might win some
but then that fucking red came 8 times in a row >-<
rigged ^^

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 03/04/2011 10:14

the thing about losing 2% bankroll longterm is wrong, its that you lose 2% of every spin you bet on

and other than that, great reads, 5 star blog ! keep us posted

also, if your bankroll is infinity, you can make back your losses in a (countably?) infinite amount of time by doing that thing, uhh, i forgot, um, martingaleing it back or whatever, .. or can you? i dunno. i think so tho :O i should read a book

You're obviously leveling people.

However just in case you're actually serious you're perhaps the dumbest fucking person ever born. Do yourself a favour and just hang yourself now.
