^ they had the first episode a little while ago, it's an interesting show, lots of complex business, gambling, and political interactions, it's even a bit hard to follow, but I'm expecting some cheesy poker scenes in the new episodes

i saw the pilot as well, i didn't really understand half of what people were talking about, but it seemed pretty decent anyway.

just started watching Stargate Sg-1 (I know is old as shit). Many filler episodes (10 seasons, 20-22 episodes each -.-), but they are fucking awesome and the show is overall great.
Currently on season 3 -.-
Also lol at people travelling trough space and taping on VHS :d
I'm a huge geek though, so if u don't like sci-fy u will not like it at all.

How do these British / UK TV shows work? I always hear they are good shit and I look them up on IMDB and they are like only 1-3 seasons long with 4-5 episodes per season.
Did Life on Mars get cancelled or did they wrap up the story in two seasons?

Im not sure, the thing is the main story is sort of in the back and every episode is mostly on its own, so they could have stretched it out for longer I guess but I dont know really. Anyway it might be for the best since almost every good show starts losing steam around season 2-3, maybe the Brits know better.

they complete a well rounded story arc and end the series when its good, unlike in america, where they find a good show and then drive it into the ground by progressively worse seasons until all you remember from a once great show is how fucking god awful it became.
UK and US versions of The Office are a perfect example of these differences.
sons of bitches stopped flight of the conchords after 2 seasons. i hate these artists who wont sell out because they dont feel like it no more.
