wow i didnt think i would get such a srs negative feedback.. im gonna test drive one tomorrow.. im srsly considering buying one of these... dude a bmw just gets more and more out dated and its just trying too hard... this is just a baller classic and its never gonna look old, the lines r sick good, its fuckin stylin..

unless you are very mechanically sound the maintenace on a type 1 aircooled VW engine will be a serious chore.

the car im looking at has a brand new engine made by a local company, only 1K miles on it, so i should be fine there, and im pretty good with suspension and driveline stuff, i did most of the stuff on my bimmer so im assuming i can figure out a old ass car like this if it does run into problems..

stick with your car man, BMW's are fine and it's your money, but car swapping all the time if you don't have a solid income can become both a time and money sink

Take the VW. It looks really nice. But for the love of god please don't lower it. You'll fuck up the driving ability of these old cars I think (and anyway it will just look stupid).
Also I really like the wheels in the 3rd picture.

well im not gonna like "slam" it or anything stupid, i was just gonna do a 1inch lower.. i duno im gonna go test drive tomorrow around 5 and ill report back in.. im kinda thinking about buying it and keeping mine ( money will be pretty thin tho) and then maybe just decide which to keep..

this is NOT an every day driving vehicle or even remotely close. you'll spend all the money you have fixing it constantly.
