I know many of you like gororok suggested i quit poker. well, maybe you are right.

there is still nothing changed wih my plan of funding my studies through poker from next september, but still find it really hard not to spew when i am tired from work or because of other reasons.

This wold mean that I would play just weekends and a couple days during the week, some 20 k hands per month or so. it would suck as i wouldn't be puting the required hours in, but ot the other hand my thought process and knowledge are well above the required to be a winning nl50, even nl100 reg, its just the endless spews that started since i begun working full time that drag me down.

my goal is to be a nl200 reg by september next year and to do that i need to go from 2.4k plus 800 shipped soon to 10k,
this would be easily achieveable even with ridiculously low amount of 200k hands during the period(i played some 160 k hands in one month during my supernova quest)

id just play when i am not tired at all, some 12 hours per week and just play donkaments or watch vids when i am not at least at 90% of my energy.

id just pull huge sessions during holidays, otherwise its just strictly 4 tables.

tell me what you guys think, remember my oly goal is 10k roll in 10 months. I am starting to save some part of my salary and my parents wil hopefully help out a lil, so being a wining nl100 reg with 100bi taking shots at nl200 should help me to grind through my last year of uni when i come back from my placement.
I just have to set out the best strategy to get there.

P.S. I am loking for some longer term cooperation, if some of you NL100+ 6max regs would like to have a shot at coaching or frequent sweat sessions both ways, please pm me, and i just might buy a headset finally.

I think i could provide a lot of input, but i also need someone to tel me how retarded am i when i throw out my stack for no reason.

I think most of the comments you've been getting are way overly harsh. I think you have a good attitude in general and I hope you can overcome your tilt issues and succeed.

Stop thinking about "puting the required hours in". If being tired from work is the reason for spewing then it just plain stupid to play when tired from work. If that means less hours, but hours on which you can use your well above average knowledge to win then so be it. You've written so many times that you spew due to being tired that its obvious you wont change unless you get an ephiphany. Just take the safe road and play when you feel good. Or buy a lot of redbull and take one before each session (maybe combined with something else that gives you energy).

gl hf, hope you get out of the bad circle.

its a one year placement that counts as a full year of uni guys, the experience is invaluable, and should it happen that i decide to go pro in 2 years when i finish my uni, i will always have the job experience and career alternatives

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, i am angry at myself for playing today.

Thats the whole change in my strategy that I am considering, I would simply not play when I am ill, or when I just dont feel fresh completely (Which I don't do now, I just come from work, and grind at some 60% of my top efficiency) and that would really come to max 12 hours per week on average.

But when I would play, I would be max. alert, keep a journal, think about every spot and crush everything and everyone.

And yes, I wouldn't tilt, but I would also play ridiculously low amounts of hands.

As for the tightening up, thats what I need to start doing before I get reads on my villains, I am very happy with my play against virtually anyone once I know how they play and there is no reason to play tighter or wider -I just adjust to specific opponents and play hands that I think are profitable against them.
But I also spew so much just because I got them 30 hands + one read and I act on them completely, you are right about that.

Play 4 tables max imo.
I'm a huge donk too , who used to spew a lot.
I was playing 9 tables few month ago and since I play only 4 tables at once my results are way better

stop thinking/talking about how u have tilt problems and just quit playing anytime your head isn't clear, or your hungry, or anytime ur tilted at all. 12hr max per week is fine, you have a fulltime job already. I only average like 25hrs a week fulltime lol, I am careful not to play when I shouldn't be... as my skills in that regard improve I can slowly build up another 5-10 hours a week which would be nice.

think of it as another skill u gotta build up, and its most +EV for u to level up slowly here

LOL night you are a part time poker pro and part time lazy bum ;D

Anyway, thanks for the input, its true that 10 months is a shitton of time to get there (i played poker for 9 months btw so far), and playing sick low amount of hands at max. effciency is the best approach. Plus I have 2 weeks during xmas, some holidays and 2 months in the summer to put in a ton of volume to help achieve my goal.

I have been sick grinding poker from the begining, mb its time to enjoy it and do some other stuff too :o

I should also hang much less here at LP, its starting to become clearly -ev -.-

you know what the problem is so stop doing it! (playing tired from work, spewing) You need to have the mental fortitude to take control of yourself and your mindset or you'll never get far.

lol funny vid,

Just doesnt apply to me at all dude I got money to do anything I need, I like my job, ,love my hot GF I have been living with for 6 months now (and who cooks almost every day), and despite all the downswings poker is still largely a way to relax and pleasantly waste time for me.
The only thing thats emo is that I am horrendously fat (takeaway quality plus chinese food every day, hello :D) and feel bad about it.

What would be emo though is if I dont put concept into my game and be attempting to grind NL50 next september with like 5k br and try to live off it because I couldn't control myself during the good days -.-
