Feel like no matter what I do its going to be the wrong decision and so far everything I've done has turned out to be the wrong decision.

Its so fucking stressful, I've won 2 days out of the last 10, in which I've lost $4000 and have an EV of -$2000. I've enhanced the downswing with sucking balls ofc......

...
I'm getting a session with a coach to see wtf I lose money every hand I pick up and why I am so bad at what is supposed to be my job.

I'm b/e for the month now... except for the glorious rakeback from 23 thousand whoooole hands of poker playing......

stop having such high expectations over the short term. are you a competent poker player or not? you should know better

fuck I should just sell some of my Pokemon cards, if no one stakes that is what I will have to do - lostaccount

word.. thanks both

I was looking at my graph of the month after I posted this and I was following the big up curve and then the big down curve back to b/e and I was like shit. Then I kept looking and I saw it was only 23k hands. So I still made $1k with rb and $350 profit over 23k hands, aka like 50 hours of work.... I guess I should just relax and keep grinding.

I think I need to just chill and spend a week getting the rest of my life in order so I can feel good & have something aside from poker on the brain.

Now look at your sessions objectively. I understand being frustrated but saying stuff like "I suck" "I'm always making the wrong decisions" doesn't really help that much. Think of the actual things you did wrong, I kept doing X in X type situations or I kept doing X against certain players or I was being too X or not doing enough X. The more constructive you look at the past, the more confident you will be, the fast you will bounce back up IMO. I know I don't even have a years worth of experience yet, but hey, just trying to help.

Hope all goes well with your next set of sessions.

hey night, i think that you shouldn't be quite so upset when your volume isn't all that big.

23k hands, like you said is a whopppppppppppping amount. be realistic, sometimes you are gonna lose for 50k+ hands and that shouldn't even be THAT rare of an occurrence.

WHAT IS THIS

ty all I read every word ^^

myth doesn't directly coach me so much, he's just always available for questions and stuff

from reading your blog, youve always been heavily affected by short term results. i think i would stop looking at monthly graphs if i were you. i stopped having my HEM set on 'this month' and its definitely helped me.

ahhh I try but mehhh. I think I need to withdraw some money so I feel secure/free in my normal life instead of feeling broke. maybe.

also possibly playing on a cake network site for a couple of weeks where I atleast can't see my results in real time which may be a good thing

just have your HEM filtered to a time period thats way longer than a month. and dont click your cashier.

its helped me be a lot less result oriented.

lol no dont grind that RB. I've played about 6k hands this month and up about 10 buyins at 200nl. I think running tons of buyins bellow exp is one of the most soulcrushing things but keep in mind it's not 100% accurate and that "variance" is the game we play

NewbSaibot   United States. Oct 28 2009 19:32. Posts 4947

Moving down to retard stakes is such a good idea. I never tried this before thinking it would be even more tilting as I try to outplay fish and shit, but I recently had to drop to NL50 and I was so confident and chill while playing and ran up 6 BI's in 3 hours. Totally rejuvenating, you should try it.

bye now
