Hmm, u play on FTP? Cause I do and Last night lost 14 buyins in 2 hrs 16-tabling. Is it possible to have an EV on .10/.25 of +500 when my actually was -360? Is it? Im like close to quitting, because i never had a night this bad. Lost 6 times to a river 4 card flush, sets, AA lose to AK, KK lose to AK, AQ 7 times. Is FTP rigged??

Yeah pretty much. You might want to take some time off the game and get your head on straight. I mean really the game of poker is a gift that has given you the ability to make tremendous sums of money. Just be happy with whatever you can make using proper BR management. Stop feeling like you must make X amount to feel successful and depending on it 100% as your only source of income considering it can be quite unstable.

I would seriously suggest you seek out either full-time school or full-time employment that you enjoy. Just do Poker as a hobby. In that situation it can only bring in positive extra income into your life. Whatever you make you make. It's a lot harder to play poker without stress when you depend completely upon it and feel that stress in every hand you play.

I find its a lot easier to enjoy the game and just see it as a challenge when you know deep down you never have to play another hand of poker in your life if you don't want to. You don't need a single dollar from this game. You can be successful without it and you don't depend on it. I also know very well that the statements I just made apply to you. You certainly don' t need poker. If you put the game in its place you will enjoy it much more and you can drop all the stress you might feel from having a bad day - even a God awful one such as this.

Just my 2 cents. I know I don't play stakes anywhere near your level but this is just how I feel about the game.

Sorry dude he Jason Bourned me. -Johnny Drama

it would be hypocritical to feel compassion for you and disgust for the ones who lucksack dumb shots, sorry to be rough but you dont deserve better, now man up, accept your losses because of your own mistakes, rebuild and dont make them again

fuk that, poker 4 life. When poker is a passion, give it 100%.

anywayz,

You will be up again eventually. Take a break. During this break, do the simple things you enjoy in life (ex. fishing, golf, jogging, hanging out with friends etc.) Forget about poker for a bit and keep in mind, there's people that got it way worst than you. Then come back, refreshed, and fuckin ready.

stop being such a drama queen op. poker players including really good ones lose control and go busto all the time. often multiple multiple times too. youre not a real gambler if youve never gone broke before, now you have something to brag about. try to imagine your life in 5 years from now where it'll likely be and ask yourself if your problems now will still be significant then. probably not unless youre unable to learn from your mistakes and turn into someone who takes these dumb shots and goes broke again and again in future. if that happens then its time to step back from gambling before it ruins your life (though you probably wont be able to by that point). just quit now or man up and try to not fuck up again. unless its vs me. gl mucker

being stubborn is sometimes a good attribute, if you think you can beat these guys, rebuild and keep taking stabs. only reason to feel bad is if you got outplayed and soulcrushed every hand and feel like you cant beat them

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

We're going to play a game... it's called "who is broke"
I'll post every dollar i have in my name and you will do the same.

interesting stuff. You're bitching about being "broke", yet can "play nl600" (which is a roll of atleast $12,000 right???)
I could sit with my life roll once and rebuy after i lost a hand.

figure it out bro, it's never that bad.

sigh...its like they are throwing money out of a helicopter and i dont have any hands...so i just break even.

I have a 100$ bankroll and am playing nl5.

I think the blog is fine and that you should be allowed to vent (I'm sure I would go nuts) but my advice is not to worry and consider the good things in life, like how you can make money off a computer game.

Sorry if I sound arrogant.

Are you kidding me? Good poker players lose control and go busto all the time? That's ridiculous. When the game of poker is brought to the level of "gambling" from a "game of skill" that's where i have no sympathy for people. If you gamble with your money in this game, expect to lose - pure and simple. Bad variance during a sessions of "gambling" will make you broke eventually no matter how you put it. So ultimately in the long run you ARE a loser in this game and it is completely pointless. You can make this game successful by playing with a logical plan and telling yourself to never rear away from it. What's so difficult about that? That is what everyone preaches for one to become successful. So honestly, anyone who plays underolled for any stake is a gambler and to me cant be categorized much differently than a roulette player. A good player ALWAYS should encompass the ability NOT to gamble and to have proper bankroll management. So it would be interesting to hear what you define as - "a good player"

That being said, i DO feel sympathy for engage because i have known him for years and know that his game will bring him back to where he was yesterday(so long as he improves this one portion of his game that requires him not to gamble). We talk about poker frequently and he is someone who i know will ultimately have success with poker. Engage just needs to learn from his mistakes, because that is and has always been what makes you improve at this game. This has happened once already from gambling at nl10k and he didnt learn from it. If it happens again(which it just did) then ultimately nobody can help him.

Though i dont play those stakes i feel i have enough knowledge to give this piece of advice: Have respect for the money you earn. You're 23 or 24 years old, you are light years ahead of everyone your age in terms of the money you can make. Secondly - Dont take it for granted, listen to your friends and learn from your mistakes.

Sit down for a good hour or so at home and write down a plan for how you will recover from this, almost as if it were a plan or proposal a job would have you write up. Write a set of rules that you will adhere to under all circumstances and do NOT sway away from them. Remember your ultimate goal and how you are treating poker like a job. Do this and you can and will be successful.

We'll talk about it more on msn. You'll be fine.

Ket, i have alot of respect for you but we dont know each other
I just dont get the 'stop being such a drama queen''
Im gona blog this if i want to and if it help me feel better, it has nothing to do about bragging or w/e
This IS a good thing since im gona always receive some good constructive comments..its the reason why i blogged it
It also help me feel better by just sharing it like that, yesterday i spoke to loco and newblish on msn about it and it helped me
But yeah i know that somes sick good poker players go busto(or went more than once)
About my life i think i handdle these kind of swings good, yesterday it affected me like never but i think its gona be fine

I can beat them and i have an edge on them
i do think they runned hotter than the sun but it doesnt mean i played perfect and im gona take somes times to review the session, i already see somes hands that should have been a fold even if its a cooler...
But i think ill have to just stop nl5k, i played this limit for the first time in august i think(or around it) and since then everything went bad....
It goes faster at nl1k and 2k....

I would like to thank you all that took 2-5 min to write something it will mostly help me
If somes others players read it then it would be nice to let ur 2 cents too event if its negative, it doesnt mean i cant get something from it
