I personally wouldn't do this with such a "small" sample size, but its probably not as terrible as some of the posters are implying.

Call and try to hit a set next time.

looks terrible, why would you 3bet this then instead of flatting if youre planning on folding?

because villain is raising 7% of his hands and we are beating his raising range, not sure if we are so much ahead of his 4betting range tho.

true should make him fold then before he can put money in the pot with worse

daysare   Poland. Sep 19 2009 18:05. Posts 670

yes, speedyjack 3betting good hands is always a bad idea, coz it often makes people fold worse hands. let's not 3bet at all!

Oskar_123   Sweden. Sep 19 2009 18:17. Posts 401

when you're looking at his 4bet stat you should look at the sample on that and not just the amount of hands you have on him total, like he might've been 3bet once before in those 130 hands so the stat doesnt tell you anything

Spitfiree   Bulgaria. Sep 19 2009 18:34. Posts 9634

whoever thinks that folding KK Preflop on 10NL even vs a 2/2 guy should just stop posting in the poker related forums

you dont 3bet only bcuz youre ahead of his range. you need to consider how hes going to react to your 3bet, and how youll react to that. against this villain we have no idea what he does vs 3bets. does he fold to 90% of 3bets? does he call 3bets out of position, or does he only 4bet or fold?

without much of a read, 3betting and folding to a 4bet bcuz you put him on AA is really really really bad.

lol ^

And to OP 130 hands really isn't THAT big of a sample to make you positive he has aces here..

I literally think folding is here is fine

I did not mean to advocate folding here since even if the villain is unbelievable nit we still have the odds to move in. It's just going to be only slightly ev+:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 52.115% 48.69% 03.43% 75028236 5284278.00 { KK }
Hand 1: 47.885% 44.46% 03.43% 68510568 5284278.00 { QQ+, AKs }

But come on.. you don't need to know a villain's behaviour to 3bet KK vs him

you should also consider trapping this villain with a smooth pf call

Fox   . Sep 20 2009 12:45. Posts 3110

100% if you're 3 betting a villian and are going to fold to his 4 bet in position. then i suggest you just flat.

is there anything wrong with folding here? i'd say a majority of the time yes but as long as you learn from it it's fine. I do not 3 bet KK unless i'm getting it against the OR 100% of the time for FR. If i do believe he's that nitty and i would fold out QQ or lower then i'll flat.

edzwoo   United States. Sep 20 2009 14:31. Posts 5911

I really hate flatting pre ever vs a 10/7.

At NL10, I would say it's very unlikely that people are capable of folding QQ or AK to a 3bet where the thought process is "okay lemme see a low flop so I can stackoff" (bad) or "lemme just spike an A or K" (also bad) or "QQ+ AK SHIP SHIP" (fine for the most part). 10/7 nits will also snapfold the same low flops to a c/r and maybe double barrel in a single raised flop saying "he always has a set".

Basically they make more mistakes in 3bet pots than they do in single raised pots, so easy 3bet.
