Okay so instead of making predictable bandwagon comments...

I'd say just talk to your friend about how he feels about her. I get a pretty strong feeling from what you're saying that the relationship is pretty much in a rut/over. She seems bored and tired of a relationship that has probably continued out of regularity and security rather than anything else. That being said you shouldn't do anything while they are still together especially if all you really want to do is take her for a roll in the sack a few times. I would assume you value this causal friendship more than you value a causal fuck if your a decent person. You can tell her straight up if she wants anything to happen it's going to happen when shes single. She can break up with him if she's not interested in being with him anymore. If she does take the option to break up with the guy then you should talk to him first and say you're kind of interested and think she's hot or whatever. If he gives you the okay then go for it. If he doesn't give you the okay then you're making a choice between his friendship and a couple lays from a girl you don't seem all that interested in other than as a piece of ass.

Well you need to decide what's more important to you, this girl or your friend of 2 years (judging from your post your hormones are RAGING so it's probably the girl atm haha). But still you have been friends with this dude for a long time (not sure how close you are) but in general it would be a pretty dick move to swoop in and steal her from him lol. Think about how you would feel if you were him and decide whether it's worth it. If you're still confused then just go out and steal some other random dudes' girlfriends. Problem solved
