you didn't fail, you lost money, failing is when you give up, so yeah you're currently failing when you're talking about giving up, man up and stop talking about quitting.

I don't know anyone who had success at anything who makes an habit of quitting

Seriously, Dude, You had a bad run. So what. I've had like 6 bad runs while trying to move up to 100NL, but guess what. Now I'm playing 100NL and winning. Just keep getting back up no matter how hard you get hit and in the end it'll work out. Poker is not a short run game.

get a regular job and make more money then 90% of the players

i'm thinking about quitting too - i'm same as you mate - i still play 25NL - 50NL with 3k. I had 3.3K 3 months ago. Now i have 3.1K. I have yet to make any money on 50NL and i barely make more than 2ptbb/100 on 25NL. What's the point - i clearly suck!

So i decided to take a week off. I'm playing FEAR Extraction Point and then when i start playing again i am going to go straight to 100NL. I'm going to put serious effort in and if i get to 25 buyins i will move down to 50. But will always move up at 30 buyins. If i fail at 100NL and then can't get back to 30 buyins again on 50NL then i will quit, cash out and buy something nice with my BR.

Take a break and think about it - if you still feel u want to quit then i think u should. GL HF either way.

locoo is obv running good and has no expierience with real variance, Fayth has some more but he isnt one of the unluckiest players in here either.

and blaming everything on luck all the time is just pure bullshit, when u broke even for 75k hands or something on NL200, it wasn't because of variance, you were just not playing that good, whether you like it or not

ive been playing for a whole year and every single fucking day i think of quitting. been through all the sites and cardrunners memberships/videos and shit and still i think ive got a ton to learn. this site has been very helpful to me in the sense that people can actually make money out of poker if u hang on to it and try to improve and take responsibility for your actions. switch sites, get laid pick up a hobby - just dont quit. seriously i was one of those players who used to 1 table losing a lot when i started, then it took me about a year of variance and extremely bad luck/play without losing that much. last month i was able to win back what ive lost and win some. now i am playing 50nl, still swinging like a monkey, but still i believe time will come when i will really learn good solid poker. the beats and setups ive experienced playing stars and ftp were really sick but ive come to realize that it has prepared me to accept that these things just are part of how the rng leverages the good and bad hands that people get. please dont quit and soon you will be more embarrased than depressed and start laughing at yourself on how you felt today. gl.
