Conor was charged, went to trial and plead guilty and according to Dana it costed him millions, also what Conor did wasn't in the middle of a televised event, therefore the comission shouldn't hav as big of a say and its more of a criminal thing, the sponsors decide for themselves if they want or not to keep associating with the athlete.

What Khabib did was far worse, and actually is probably the most serious offence ever in the history of the UFC, fights broke out as a consecuence where people got injured and others arrested, in the press conference he didn't show any remorse in fact it seems like he seems keen on doing it again if anybody disrispects his family, country and religion.

Hopefully the comission gives him a 1 year suspension so Dana strips him of the belt and we can see a fight Conor vs Ferguson for the title and Khabib gets a direct shot after his suspension.

If they suspend him, he can just fight outside of the USA though, can't he?

I'm pretty sure that they haven't done a Moscow event with him because of the time difference with the USA, so the PPV would actually not be as high as anticipated.

What I'm wondering is if the PPV % is a part of Khabib's purse, or is the purse just the fixed amount he gets. If they take his purse, but he gets to keep the PPV %, then it's whatever for him moneywise.

Also no, the commission couldn't have done anything about Conor's behaviour, but the UFC could've and should've. Your biggest star is:

A) Attacking a Referee in an official Bellator event as a spectator
B) Attacking your organization's bus with 20 people and ended up injuring two of them while doing property damage

I'm not protecting Khabib, I'm just saying the UFC is super disgusting and hypocritical and should've sanctioned Conor then, and should sanction Khabib now. Especially because this is the fighting sport, there is absolutely no room for shit like this to happen. It's one thing to be measuring dick pre-event, quite another when there's 20,000 people watching you live, half of which have the IQ of a stone and are prone to violence. Dana's decision not to give Khabib's belt was probably his best decision in a live event ever. He prevented shitton of injuries of innocent people.

Khabib is completely fucked, not only because of what he did but also cause he s muslim. One year suspension would prob be the best thing he gets.

I don't know about the mental warfare, but he was grabbing fences, hitting Khabib's head, trying to knee him on the ground and grabbing his gloves, all illegal shit, at any point possible, just to grab for little edges to relieve him from Khabib's pressure.

Yes he can fight in Moscow so that gives Khabib a chance to perhaps defend his title there once, but that depends on the suspension, assuming its 1 year, perhaps Dana is fine with this, but also perhaps he thinks Conor vs Ferguson and winner vs the Khabib coming back would mean even more money.

If you think about it, lets say Conor beats Ferguson, a rematch between Conor, the real champ coming back with all the bad blood would be much bigger than any other scenario where Khabib isn't stripped.

Khabib gets PPV, Dana said so in the inteview, he also said those checks take a while to be written.

I agree 100% that the UFC should have done something with Conor, however Conor was in such a massive leveraged position I also understand why Dana decided to didn't do anything about it, and Conor is a multimillionare, but he certainly cares about losing millions and being arrested, but no obviously that wont change his shitty attitude, thats kind of change rarely happens.

If I support heavy penalties for Khabib it doesnt mean I support Conor antics, I think all sports not just MMA should dish out heavy penalties for anti-sportsmanship behavior, when they dont the sports becomes a circus, like football or Boxing.

BTW I agree that Conor looked really bad, I assume its the rich fighters curse, booze, hookers and blow.. afterall most fighters are uneducated and impulsive so they tend to lose focus quickly when they get rich

Conor is still very young and an outlier so this 2nd terrible L might be the spark he needs to wake up and be hungry again. All that money and activity outside of fighting is terrible for him when he's up against hungry lions.

Now I realize Mayweather is so much smarter than the guy, he is leagues above Conor in almost all aspects. Dude prints money but never compromises what gives him the money, he's figured out a way to remain hungry all these years.

Conor vs Ferguson or Khabib vs Ferguson would be cool though. Depending on what happens to Khabib next is -> Conor vs Nate, Khabib vs Ferguson or Conor vs Ferguson for interim belt, if Khabib is suspended
