ah yeah i expected that because other internet players tell me what live is like, still doesn't stop it from being like that. Today went a lot better, and i started seeing people's tells a lot more. I wanted to practice at lower first because yes this is my first time playing live and i make basic mistakes.
hand histories and events:
old phil hellmuth type 'pro' wins two buy ins, delcares he is best at table, starts straddling every button.
guy raises to 8bb preflop, everyone folds. He shows 45o. gotta build that table image.
girl to my right says pokerstars pros all stopped playing because algorithm is designed to make the game more gambley. everyone accepts this claim.
netherlands guy calls my 3bet with QQ, flop is 768, i cbet with AK. after the hand he says he was thinking of folding to my cbet. We actually been getting along pretty well, he's been playing every day.
I may be playing some 25/50 at niagra falls in a month or so. apparently it runs that high there.
What do you guys say you do for a living when you play?? Just curious what strategies you use haha |
Lol @ gambley algorithms..
The Canadian side of Niagara Falls? I actually live nearby and play there often. 25/50 never runs, highest game is 5/10 deep that runs friday & sat (only 1-2 tables), 10/20 runs every now and then
|
do you play the 5/10 or 10/20 games? |
|
I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time | |

I was playing 5/10 for the past few months whenever it ran, but it dried up a little ever since they moved the poker room to the old casino. Also played a lot of 2/5 deep there, but i'm trying to focus on online now |

i looked up a tipping guide and got this
Quick Tipping Guide
Cocktail Waitresses $1/every drink or two
Dealers $5/hr.
Slot Attendants (hand pays) 0.5% to 1%
Taxi Drivers 15% if they drive safely
so 10 handed, dealers are supposed to get 50 an hour. seems pretty insane. i never tip more than $1 for a pot i win |
Tipping every won pot is too much. I usually tip 1$ for every 40bb+ pots, and more often when I like the dealer.

its pretty common past 2/5 to just tip a dollar a pot you win as long as its the flop or later. And not tip PF unless the pot is huge and they somehow fold. Atleast thats how ive done it. 9 handed at 35 hands an hour that on average is right around 4$ an hour if ur winning ur fair share. Presumably we are doing slightly better than the average person so call it 5$ an hour |

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident. | Last edit: 26/01/2018 23:40 |
