guess im pretty late to the party but as someone who falls under both your prerequisites to be able to talk to you (use to play hs poker and still currently plays poker [though im much better now than i was 7 years ago im certainly worse compared to the field) i just wanted to say two things
first: the idea that someone who has never played hs poker cant give meaningful insight into a hand of hs poker seems insane to me. i feel like this is obvious enough that i dont think it merits defending and am only making the point since im a "co-authority" on it as defined by you
second: as more of a personal opinion, as someone who still reads through the hands and comments on this site, ive found some percentage of posts by non hs players to be useful and in terms of comparison, have seemed like much better advice than what ive seen you posting as advice. looking back to pre black friday games compared to now, games dont seem simply tougher - rather they seem to be differences in kind. as someone who also got through poker through understanding balance and range advantages before people i understand your reticence to think the games could be so different/your abilities and knowledge about poker still as relevant - i was guilty of something similar 4 or so years ago - though i managed to handle that transition with a bit more tact.

also - it took 12 years but i finally defended baal on something. what a world.
