From my understanding the protest did take place, and CNN (and other medias) staged a sort of "photoshoot on the side" with the (some?) Protesters. Sensationalism? Sure.

I mean you got to be real dumb if you think they would randomly stage a "fake protest" in broad daylight, in broad public in a big city in 2017 and think they clever and get away with it, with what appears to be a dozen media outlets in that video?

I wish one of your guys had children if I could kick them in the fucking head or stomp on their testicles so you can feel my pain because thats the pain I have waking up everyday -- Mike Tyson

Search on YouTube: CNN or fox , always abunch of live 24/7 streams with bonus cancer chat

Prediction: not interesting, vague answers, triggered politicians. bottom line will be that Trump is as retarted and senile in private as he is in public.

Either way you do realize this is still unacceptable right? It is still fake in many ways.

Shitty sensationalism is not against the law.

Journalism exists to cover events as they are. Not create events on their own. Even if there were a protest 50meters away they did not cover it. What they did was to pick up specific people and control the environment. Journalists like that deserve to never work in that sphere again. Its one thing to frame the event as you wish, its quite another to create an artificial event.

Yes, that's called sensationalism, and is rampant in majority of news orgs.

No, a good example of sensationalism was Clinton's "crowd" in Ohio or Omaha or wherever she were with those 10 ppl. Do you not realize the difference between covering the facts in a way to benefit you and actually changing the facts and controlling them as u wish.

uiCk   Canada. Jun 08 2017 17:47. Posts 3521

What facts did they change? Did they force/finance the protesters (who were already protesting) to deviate and come to a set up 'stage" set up by the police for the specific purpose of a "photo shoot"?
It's garbage journalism. The protesters wanted to be heard and seen and the medias wanted to do the same. That's about it.

sen·sa·tion·al·ism
sen?s?SH?nl?iz?m/Submit
noun
1.
(especially in journalism) the use of exciting or shocking stories or language at the expense of accuracy, in order to provoke public interest or excitement.

That isnt sensationalism, its physically manipulating and staging events in pursuit of political agendas.

This one is written by Heather Boushey, the executive director of the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, and former chief economist for Hillary Clinton's transition team, and Katie Bethell, the executive director of Paid Leave for the US, a new national nonpartisan organization dedicated to winning paid family leave for everyone in the United States. The views expressed in this commentary are their own.

Vanessa Brown Calder is a policy analyst at the Cato Institute, where she focuses on social welfare, housing and urban policy. The views expressed in this commentary are solely those of the author.

The Cato institute is a libertarian think tank founded by the koch brothers. The Koch Brothers and Hillary Clinton's transition team are not involved in some collusion to hurt Trump, they just want different things. It's no surprise that Hillary's team favors paid family leave and it's no surprise that a libertarian think tank would argue against it.

I totally want Trump to fail, but I want him to fail because he's pushing policies that go against my wishes for society's direction (I also think he seems like a pretty despicable human being, but I could actually look past that and ignore his success if I thought he was making the world a better place).. If he starts pushing for policies that I support (paid maternity leave definitely being one) then I don't actually want him to fail at that.

Also, this took me one minute to google. Whenever you post something like this, where some player clearly distorts reality because they have a political agenda (to hurt CNN/MSM), that really doesn't support the narrative that CNN/MSM is less trustworthy than other sources.

yeah sure, the timing however is very convenient isnt it? to publish a contradictory point less than 2 months after the other one just when Trump announced he would support paid family leave.

It could be a coincidence, however I just posted another pic above where CNN eats its own words on anonymous sources, despise defending such sources in a previous discussion and just a few posts before there is a video where they manipulate the protests, I think its more than proven that CNN is clearly biased and unreliable they dont get the benefit of the doubt, the same way I wouldnt give Breitbart the benefit on the doubt iif the timing would perfectly suit their political agenda.

Theresa May won the election but lost the majority in parliament. Which I don't understand since I thought the UK uses a majoritarian vote system? Anyway tough political times for the UK and especially at the time they don't need it, the good part is Corbyn will have proper influence and that might lead to a decent deal for both the UK and EU as May's staff seems inadequate on that

Also regarding the protest, yes this is completely fake, CNN created and controlled the environment. That is NOT sensationalism that is creating something entirely different than the actual thing which they should be covering. There is a quite thick line between the two. Sensationalism would have been if they used a variety of camera methods and provocative, propagandistic verbal messages to enforce and blow their opinion out of proportions while covering the REAL protest in an environment which is set by the protesters. That is not some kind of a private interview, its a public event.

it's a nice piece of irony that obama says "hope" and gets the nobel peace prize and democrats think he's the greatest president since FDR and then when trump says "hope" they think it's time to impeach him for obstruction of justice

I think its about time bookies open the bets for Trump's impeachment

You have to have your head stuck quite deep if you are still a fan of Trump after Comey's testimony. He smelled the crook and completely demolished him through his own actions.

That bet has been on books for a long time now, I was gong to snap bet it if it didnt lock my money for 4 years.

LOL are you crazy? Comey's testimony shut down any possibility of impeachment, he basically said the Russia ties were bullshit, then he said he indeed told Trump he wasnt under investigation so he didnt fire to stop him from investigating him and there is no chance he gets impeached for vaguely implying to cut Flynn some slack.

Some biased poker players offered the bet, not sure if it was Negreanu, Selbst or other, but Dolly sent them a message, hopefully theres a bet
