- I know how both Shevchenko and Holm fight.
- Shevchenko has fought 5 rounds multiple times in recent fights, so I knew it wouldn't be a problem.
- Holly is a low volume striker and has no power. Shevchenko throws a little more strikes per round and is WAY more skilled in overall striking, while Holm is just a pitter patter boxer with slow kicks (her kicks looked even slower tonight).
- Shevchenko is a black belt in Judo -- among other martial arts -- and took down Sarah Kaufman several times. Kaufman is well-known for her TDD.
- I expected Shevchenko to get more take downs and possibly win via late submission, but her coaches told her to stop wasting her energy on TDs and clinch, so she kept the fight in the middle.
- Holm almost lost a split-decision against Pennington, a brawler, in her UFC debut.
- If you ever watch Holm's boxing matches, you'll know she has no problem winning via points. She has no sense of urgency, which is bad if she can't land and is getting countered.
- Since Holm is an outside fighter, I assumed Shevchenko would have an easy time game planning for her. She wouldn't need to worry about take downs, and she didn't have to worry about submission attempts.

People overrate Holm since she defeated Rousey and I was the one most vocal saying Holm would beat Ronda but simply because it was a stylistical nightmare for Rousey but she has done very poorly against very mediocre competition, her boxing is suprisingly bad (considering her credentials), she has no head movement, has awful combinations, isnt that great countering, she is technical and utilizes the southpaw tricks well and also covers distance quickly... actually I thought her distance control was better but after watching this fight wtf... it looked like SHE needed to get in range.

Indeed Holm seemed like she had to get in range. All her shots were short or she would kinda bull rush in a 3-4 combination and end up missing all the shevchenko landing a leg kick.

Holm looked like garbage. She is terrible offencively. Just more of the same "usshhh ushhh" retarded combos that fall short 40cm of touching anything. Super tentative.
Let Shevchenko loose, she has some beast mode in her and i'd like to see her go full retard on someone.

She always does that, its as if she is unable to make a short step-in and throw a combination, she either counters or lunges throwing 1-2s as she walks with every punch (thus having little power in those), when she was going to fight Ronda I wasnt sure Holly wold win because she always does that stupid walking-punching thing but thankfully she didnt, but why in the fuck doesnt she just jab Valentina and kick her with her super long and strong legs? ridiculous, distance management is supposed to be her forte.

Also the fucking oblique quick.. probably the most overrated technique in MMA that Jackson taught to Jones to keep charging fighters at bay and now fighters are trying that shit on awful spots like Holm, instead of throwing full power roundhouse kick to a sitting Valentina, she throws that retarded oblique quick which has less range than a jab and she got countered every single time... god, I hate that kick.
