Some of the dialogue and acting is unconvincing and broke my immersion or had me staring at the screen in disbelief. None of the material made me chuckle or laugh like in the previous seasons. You have childish shit like daario naharis' dick being covered by a table that "happens" to be int he way as if GOT were a comedy. If the actor doesn't want to be naked then don't do the scene that way ffs. Going "hey Bronn is popular let's bring him back for some fights, nevermind the details" is maybe standard in hollywood but IMHO unworthy of such a great show and an insult to how good of a story they're working with. This feels like the unnescessary sequel to a hollywood movie instead of the essential continuation of what could have been the greatest tv show of all time. I mean ffs the whole reason the show was great in the first place is that they DIDNT cut tons of characters and make a hollywood movie about "just danaerys" or whatever. They DIDNT simplify everything and trusted their audience to "get it", they DIDNT go for the 3 hour movie and chose to dedicate 10 episodes to the first book instead, and everyone loved it. You'd think they'd stick to the success formula or go even further and do 15 or 20 episodes for a book, and suddenly we get this bullshit

while I agree with some parts of your criticism, I feel that Martin prob went too slow on books 4 & 5 and introduced too many characters that didn't play that big of a part on the story development. Merging some characters or replacing them (with some of the ones who are already introduced and popular) and skipping parts of the books could work for the best, considering the TV guys actually know what's going to happen in the end. Maybe they overdid it, but it's impossible to be sure without knowing what the bigger picture is. I think that they are basically changing what they think wouldn't work on tv; I'm genuinely curious to see what they're going to fill all the remaining seasons with, now that they're skipping such huge chunks of the book plot (I think they want 8?)

They're not skipping part of the books ... they cut HUGE parts of them e.g. + Show Spoiler +

It's quite sad, I know RR Martin says he agrees with what the producers change and etc. , but that was believable up until this season where everything went terribly wrong

I liked this episode.

This season is gradually getting better with each episode. That being said, I was hoping we'd see a little more action between the new king and queen during the bed scene...

don't the get hate, thought it was amazing, binged the first 4 couldn't stop, so exciting, and im usually really critical of all shows.

I used to read a ton of fantasy books when I was a kid, but after I grew up, my imagination took over, and I've kinda been living in a fantasy life world after, so never needed anymore books. tried a few times to read some, but they're all dull and boring. Just go close ur eyes in the couch and it's more exciting.

I judge and compare the show to other tv series, if not ud be a party pooper and everything would be a bit shit. I think it's really entertaining and awesome, don't care if the books did this or that. What you read in the book wasn't real, neither is the show, enjoy it for what it is, which is pretty damn epic.

Reminds me back when lotr was out, and I had to listen to all my sisters friends about how shit the movie was, and amazing the book was. The book was terribly boring, couldn't finish it, remember getting half way, just super boring lol. And the Movie was great.

To me, GOT is up there with House of cards, true detective, breaking bad, fargo and those kinda shows. Tier 1, so yay!

In terms of comparison with other series its still def top3 however im disappointed cause they couldve made it far better

the part where Little Finger marries Sansa to Ramsay happens completely differently in the books

all of Sansa's parts this season are going to be super depressing -_-

haven't read the books but as far as "TV Show" goes, i thought the earlier seasons were just so god damn hard to follow. I don't think following books is always the best way to go about film/tv adaptations.

as a TV SHOW, this season has to be by far the best.

i definitely feel for the book readers, they have much more invested

at this point, I think you definitely have to treat them as two separate entities

they've deviated so far from the books, it's just going to be super disappointing to watch the show if you're expecting it to be include and be like everything in the books. with that said, I've still really enjoyed this season. I just hope they include at least a few of some the bigger things that go on in the books

Episode 4 = sick good.

I don't think Barriston died, it wouldnt make any sense Worm saved him and he just bleed out.

I don't care about that, they seem to have cut out the entire storyline of the greyjoy bros. where is Euron, Aeron, and Victarian Greyjoy? That's kinda dissapointing. Dont care that they cut ladystoneheart, thats a good change imo. I hope littlefinger stops getting lucky and dies. He is quite far above expected value.
