I really do think Cummins is gonna win. Like my gut says he should be a bigger favorite. But when I break down the fight, he's fighting a guy who is a much better grappler than anyone he's beaten (an Olympic wrestler smothers a middleweight in Roger Navarez and Kyle fucking Kingsberry, so what?) and who hits pretty damn hard, and Cummins chin is a question mark. I know DC is a monster but the shots he put him away with were nothing special. Furthermore, if it's somehow a close fight that GTD, it's in Brazil, so you gotta weigh that as well.

Well I ended up making a small bet on Cummins just $80. There isn't too much of a read except that I think Cummins is someone who improves fast so there's a lot of speculation that he will constantly outpace the lines when he fights. Had a small bet on him vs Kingbury as well.

Got a bunch of lines I liked for UFC 182 too.

I have Means 3-0, but Alexandre could have won the first two rounds.

Round 1: lull fest.
Round 2: Alexandre landed 1 meaningful shot that could've won him the round, even though Means landed the most.
Round 3: all Means

Yea I agree. I'm glad Means won, he clearly deserved it, but I was sort of expecting Alexandre to win via Brasil. 30-27 Means IMO. Fuck the stupid hand down rule. They need to atleast change it to being allowed to knee them if they are clearly on their way up.

The whole, "I think his fingertip was touching the mat," is dumb as fuck. I rather see the 3-point stance rule removed, or at least make it so only the knee has to be touching, not the hand.

I don't know one single person who fights, analyzes fights, or is a fan, who has ever even remotely defended the rule.

Everything I've heard in the last day makes me think Sasaki is about to sub this guy in extremely impressive fashion.

Edit: And everything I've heard was total bullshit.

The commentators said it's 100 degrees Fahrenheit inside the Brazilian stadium. Sasaki looked tired when round 2 started; he was taking short breaths.

Expect other people to gas, too.
