Then again, I love learning about history, geopolitics, geography, etc. The average American is supposedly super bad at geography though, so I see where you're coming from. From the way you said it, I thought it was explicitly obvious that you were referring to actual destinations on a map. Having never been to Europe makes your knowledge of Europes geography so much more valuable, dude. I know a lot about the cosmos but i've never been there either. Why don't you take that fake bet money of yours and fly to Europe. This wasn't originally about whos sport is better. There is too much important stuff for everyone to know everything about, however an educated person wouldn't make a fool of himself boasting his shortcomings.

i hope to go to Europe someday and probably will sooner rather than later. i think it was fairly obvious to everyone else that i wasn't implying never having been to Europe made my knowledge more valuable. because, you know, there's no rational reason to interpret it that way.

fair enough, i was mostly referring to a narrower/simpler definition of geography as you correctly assumed. but given it was in response to his comment about americans not being able to find germany on a map when i could easily draw all the german states on a blank map, pinpoint their capitals, and probably name close to 100 german cities off the top of my head (and do similar for the regions of france and other major countries) i don't think the spirit of my reply was unreasonable as i highly doubt he could do the same for the US.
