I wiki'd the story of the books
The way Tyrion ended up needs it's own episode for sure, they had no choice.
The next episode will be awesome, but I'm not sure afterwards if they follow the story of the books, it seemed rly "meh" I like my TV shows to have sort of predictable characters and give me resolutions I want to see but I guess it shouldn't be surprising that ain't gonna happen with this show
if its info from the books use the spoiler tags -_-

lmao... Let's see which of you say this season finale was so fucking epic...
Can't believe they spent an extra 11 minutes and wasted so much time introducing extra shit like the man beneath the tree, and having that long battle + talking period with Aria and the Hound... wtf?
And that part where Stannis and his men save the wall; what was that? There was a minor attack just to kill some bum soldiers and then they took Mance Rayder captive and planned to arrest the rest of them by nightfall.
There was no big battle that happened at any point of this season finale, nor did we see the White Walkers.

battle between brienne+hound wasnt in book, but i liked it. in the book i think the injury to the hound's neck eventually festered and left him dying. same result though, arya left him to die and went to braavos.
whitewalkers basically werent in book 3. the couple scenes of them this season were extra and are things we dont even know by the end of book 5.
mance rayder has an army of 100k people...but probably 90k of them are women, children and men not fit for fighting. sure he has some fighting men, but most arent real soldiers. he sent a party of 400 men to climb the wall (miles away where they wouldnt get massacred by the SCYTHE) and those 400 would have annihilated the 50 men left in the night's watch, but stannis' army which are well disciplined soldiers with good armor would slaughter them. the battle is over.
in the books jojen reed didnt die either. but whatever, i dont care for that whole plot. but the tree dude is in the books.
one other slight change from the books: so jaime lets tyrion out, tyrion is ready to just go with varys and jaime tells him that the girl who tyrion saved and married when he was 16 was not actually a whore. their father just made jaime say it because he didnt want tyrion to marry some low born girl. and then she was raped by many men. so after this happens, tyrion kinda loses his mind, lies to jaime saying "YES I KILLED YOUR FUCKING BASTARD SON" then went to go kill his father, saw shae there and killed her too. i prefer the way it is in the show, dont like tyrion/jaime leaving each other on a bad note and with jaime thinking maybe tyrion really did kill joffrey.
overall finale was pretty great. touched on everything it needed to, delivered in the tyrion scene, and still left plenty of minor cliffhangers and things to look forward to next season (heres a small list):
-arya going to braavos
-the menage a trois at the wall with stannis/nights watch/wildlings
-tyrion on the boat and where hes heading
-the fall out in kings landing with tywin dead
-dorne's reaction to the death of oberyn (minor spoiler that they come into the plot, but the plot next season has new characters so be ready for some additions)
and much much more. dont know whats disappointing about this episode.

i didn't get how and why, stannis was beyond the wall.
Dragonstone is close to Kings Landing/Blackwater.... so they went to Braavos that is in the other part of the world, then came back to Dragonstone, and then go beyond the wall by sea for Mance?

They summoned speedboats, obv.

@ Daut: I liked the episode but, it wasn't "epic" like so many people online said it would be*. It seemed like a good episode that would have been best to use as the "Red Wedding" of Season 4, not the finale.

its called the narrow sea so its likely not that wide. dragonstone is further south than braavos which is further south than the wall. i dont think he went all the way back to dragonstone first, i think he just continued onwards from braavos, but i honestly dont remember if it was explained better in the books.

I guess it depends on the map, here for me looks that Braavos is closer or easier path to dragonstone than going beyond the wall.
Im saying they went back to dragonstone because we can see his wife, the daughter and melissandre in the wall.
anyways, if braavos is closer or not or if they went back to dragonstone, i don't get the point to go beyond the wall, shouldn't they go straight to Kings Landing?

they didn't do a great job of explaining this but I think that was to add a surprise element to who it was slaughtering the wildlings
I don't wanna spoil it so just read the books and you'll understand lol

overall I loved the finale..I don't quite remember the tree guy in the books so I thought that whole scene was really cool
also thought it was noteworthy in the tree man & bran conversation that he said that bran would "fly", which to me means that he will warg into Khaleesi's dragons

Tyrion also told Jamie that Cersei fucked his cousin Lancel and one of the Kettleback's brothers, so Jamie is left wondering about that as well ..
In the books the Hound get's really injured after the fight at the pub that happened in the first episodes (the chicken thing) and Arya just leaves him like in this episode
