I guess I'm too successful

I have too much time on my hands lately. So I feel like I should get back into coaching. And I'm going to make it more affordable. I'm going to drop my rate to $200/hr so hopefully I'll be able to reach some of the guys playing 2/4 as their highest game. Also I'll do packages of maximum 5hrs for $900. I can't commit to spending anymore than 5 hours with anyone though. I doubt it'd take me more than that to teach anyone smart enough to hire me the things I know that they don't know anyways.

The strongest aspect of my game is my default game. This is why I'm so successful at anonymous tables. I have an edge over most because my game isn't built around making adjustments to others. The reason I have so much success has to do with the strength of my fundamentals built upon my default game combined with my extremely disciplined and regimented attitude with regards to my approach to the mental aspects of poker. I.E. playing when in a strong mindstate, undisturbed by any outside influence and with the intent to focus on getting each individual decision right every time. In a different manner of saying, I've become increasingly more efficient as a poker player.

I used to struggle on the mental game aspects of poker. It took me a long time, but now almost getting into my 8th year as a pro and with more than 5 million hands of experience I feel like I'm getting close to mastering them. I rarely at all, if ever, tilt anymore. I used to think it was BS if somebody would say they never tilt because there are so many different kinds of tilt and I had thought it was impossible to recognize them all whenever one of them started to creep up. The true cure to eliminating tilt though is twofold. One, you have to be extremely self critical. The things that constantly go through my mind are: 1. Was this last decision I made the right one?/Could I be employing a stronger base strategy? 2. Was there anything affecting my decision outside of trying to make the best play? The thing I've seen it come to as far as being able to eliminate tilt, you have to combine this mindset with being the best quitter. This is something I believe I'd have good advice to help anyone improve at. I know the words that you need to hear in order to get yourself to finally do what you know is best for your game because I'm one of the most stubborn people I've ever met and it's taken me so long to finally convince myself.

This doesn't mean I don't think I wouldn't have good exploitative strategies and advice to give to people who play non anonymous games as their main games. I still flourish in those at stakes below 25/50NL. It's just a different approach is necessary to have success there.
If you'd like to apply send an e-mail to marshall28coaching@hotmail.com

Just tell me what stakes you play, what areas you are looking to improve in, when you'd like to start, and provide your skype contact information.

I've heard bovada is insanely soft, how have u been doing on stars and how much have u been playing there?

And it wasnt my intention to threaten ur pokerability with this question. Im just curious

i asked u for hu and u declined. not taking anything u say personally cuz i make more than the top .1% of poker players. u gotta accept the challenge to find that out tho. and i play anyone if that means anything.

okey i was mostly interested cuz i was thinking of maybe getting a few hours since i thought it couldnt hurt at that cheap of a rate.

It just seemed like relevant information when offereing coaching to not just have bovada as a reference since the games are alot alot thougher then prior to blackfriday, wich is when i assume u played on stars/ftp.

but i guess not then.

and we can play hu some day aslong as im not on the SNE schedual (hard to find motivation to play much outside of that), and its a pain in the but to close down the tables just to play some serious hu. (im playing any1 starting tables etc, but i dont count that as a serious hu match)

we can schedual some time to play for a few hours if u want that, could be fun

haha.

i wouldn't charge u dude. u got my skype. ask me whatever whenever.

but im down to play too.

im winning on stars at a good clip but i dont have large enough of a sample for it to be relevant. im not playing down there often enough cuz my life is here in san diego and i just get depressed when i have to drive all the way down to mexico to play. only reason i havent played more. if stars was available in the states id play everyday and i wouldn't waste my time bothering with coaching, id be working hard on my game to move up.

Playing only stars atm. But if you're still coaching in dec. I wanted to give bovada a good shot to see if i can make a living in the US and not have to fly back out.

curious, how much of your profit gain has to do with the softness of bovada?

does it matter? the guy who makes the most money isn't necessarily the best player. i seek out and try to take advantage of every edge i can. there are certain aspects that are specific to bovada that need to be taken advantage of to earn the highest winrate. the things specific to doing so on stars are different. whatever it is that would make me the most efficient player is what i would do.

also, i watch every video that is released on stars 2.5/5NL zoom and up. im up on everybody's games, i talk to some of the biggest winners in those games on a regular basis about strategy and i am always scouring the forums for information i can get and try to read up on what other guys are thinking and how they are playing. bovada is softer than other sites yes, but that doesn't mean what i do is easy or that just anybody could do it. i work rly hard to be where i am.

I just deposited $200 on bovada and started playing their rush poker knockoff to really maximize the whole anonymous thing. My god are the players bad. Granted it's only NL50 but I had no idea people even played like this, anywhere. Bovada lets you see all hole cards whether there was a showdown or not, and it's crazy looking at how many times people floated me with complete and total air. Thing is, they never once bluffed or took a stab. It's not like they were setting up some elaborate attempt to win the pot. They just call a preflop raise with T3s from the SB, and snap float a Q529r board and then check/fold river. Or raise 63s utg, flop bottom pair but fail to follow through with a cbet. Then they call someone else who bets with nothing more than bottom pair. I dont even know whats going on, I just know people are calling ridiculously loose, total disregard for position, and making absurd call downs. Every now and then I catch someone minraise bluff but thats about it. I dont know whether to barrel these people into oblivion or just value bet the nuts lol. I was expecting to see lots of anon abuse with light 3 betting, light 4 betting, lots of floats, check-raise bluffs, raising cbets, etc. Nope, they just call with shit, and station off like it was play money. Fun stuff though. Wonder if this is how my live games play around town.

I just used my debit card. They gave me a number to call for support and walked me through the whole process.

But seriously though, just stay on Stars!

Cant believe Bovada actually treats you as a valued customer if you're just fleecing their site to the tune of 30k/month.

Not sure if serious. Do you think he makes that 30k in 200 hands? He prolly pays a couple K in rake/month. Ofc they value him.

What stakes do you play on Bovada? Also is 30K seriously the max withdrawal per month? Can't you get a combo of bank wires and checks?
