I think skype is more or less the way to go unless you live in the same city. If you live in the same city, rooming up would be ideal. If you're sharing a bankroll, I think it'd be best to put in equal amounts, and then set a limit for how much you can exceed that amount. And to actually hold on to your part of the roll so no one can clean up.
