Watched it in 3D yesterday. Easy one of the ~5 best movies I've ever seen along with stuff like Pulp Fiction, Dazed and Confused and a few others. Really awesome. Just check out the trailer and then go and see it, in 3D if possible.
Month going slow, about 30bi under ev but getting a semi-decent amount of hands in. Learning a bit too. Going to be a crazy month or two before I'm all moved to the new place.

i thought it was very good.. only comic book movie that is better is the batman series imo but the style is very different besides that this movies is the best in the genre
only thing i didn't like is the over exaggeration of jokes
i wouldnt go as far as to put it in my top 10 list though |

You guys are crazy. I also saw it yesterday because all my friends decided they wanted to go and see it instead of Battleship which we all didn't see yet.
I don't want to go and say it was bad but it was solid but I wouldn't go any further than that. It's a pure insult to include this in a list along with Pulp Fiction if you ask me.
I do have to say that the special effects were freaking awesome and the final battle in NYC was a visual spectacle to see for sure! |

I agree with Kilay, I thought it was an OK film, but nothing spectacular (also watched in 3D).
Battleship, however, was a positive surprise for me - didnt expect much, but it was very enjoyable for me. It all comes down to personal taste I guess... |

the avengers is the best popcorn movie ever made. I think best comic book adaption as well, although watchmen + dark knight are strong contenders as well.
it's not as good as pulp fiction tho obviously, but I was probably equally as entertained. If entertainment is what you're after, I see no problems with equating the two. |

Good movie, but as people said, it has nothing to do in a list where you include pulp fiction and classic films like that.
And Battleship, haven't seen it, but from the trailer its like watching the fucking transformers (same producers, same effects, same sounds) with rhiana =/ |

the avengers has 97% on rottentomatoes btw. that's absolutely fantastic for a superhero movie. |

it's 8.9 on IMDB, Pulp has 9.0. Seriously, I was in a lousy mode before the movie and it made me happy. Avengers is higher on Rotten tomatoes though.
I agree with Drone, Watchmen is awesome too.
I rate stuff being funny and happiness inducing stuff high though and I find Joss Whedon really entertaining with his style of dialogue and feel good stuff (mostly firefly) so I guess that ads to it. I can't name 10 movies I like more, maybe I could find 5. |

why in the everloving fuck would you spoil your first experience with a shitty cam torrent
only thing I really let myself know about this movie was how goofy the commercial on espn looked. now I'm getting proper pumped.
wish I had non-sucky people around to watch it with, might call up my family back home n tell them we have plans for when I'm in town next weekend |

Not really getting all the Avengers hype. It's a good comic movie, but there's a few out there I like more still. Some Batmans, some X-Men, probably Sin City. |

Saw it tonight, lol, I've been a pessimistic, negative moron when it's come to films the last 5 - 8 years or so. Most things I felt was a bit shitty.
Hated Transformers 3 too lol, piece of shit movie.
But lol, I loved this so much. So much justice to the original ones. Best movie I've seen last 4-5 years easily. Can't judge compared to old films, since I don't remember what state of mind I was in while watching them and after.
I laughed all the way from the cinema just thinking about:
+ Show Spoiler +
that scene where Thor and Hulk beat up some Aliens n shit, then when the camera showed them all cool standing next to eachother, Hulk really creaving to smash something else, does a "little" friendly suckerpunch on Thor lol.
Feels like the best comic movie for sure. Still think Matrix 1 best movie I ever seen. Not seen it in ages, might feel shit now though lol.
Pulp fiction was awesome, wouldn't rate it as high as most ppl, talky movies don't get me going as much, since I see those scenario's so often in my head, need to break the laws of physics, or be something I can't imagine or havent though of, which that movie didn't, it just did a lot of stuff I hope would happen.

i thought it was exactly like all the others, and exactly what i expected
stupid and uncessasary that brought nothing new to the genre, just as expected, but kinda funny and cool at times, but really just a bad movie with cheesy anoying heroes and a terrible villain
they need to understand that working just as much on the supervillain as the superheroes is important and will make the dynamic much more intresting
and also MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE atleast have a 2min scene where the hulk learns to control himself being green, what is the point of him trying to kill thor and black widow at the middle of the movie, and stark telling him that he thinks he can learn to control it, then all of a sudden he can control it just fine and saves the day without explanation, i mean wtf, is it so fucking hard to just make a scene where the hulk needs to rescue stark or something and his good side goes through and he decides to save him and then stark says "see that wasnt so hard was it" or something lame
decent movie though

If Game Of Thrones writer said, nah, u can't make this to a movie without cramming too much shit in too small a frame with too little viewpoints. Then you have no chance in hell of cramming in Stan Lee's work in a couple of movie's, you'd need a 1 hour show every day for the next 24 years to do that.
I'm biased as hell, in the army my collection of Marvel comics was 2 of those big black bags u use for garbage full, and at home, I had a drawr the size of a bed filled, lol. |

Easily the best "action popcorn" movie ever imo. As for the "develope the super villain" complaint, thats what the movie Thor was partialy for and u can always read the comics or something. Not like the movies ever introduce new important characters or character traits. As mariuslol said u cant possibly be expected to cover all of the comics ideas in any reasonable way, these movies have done the best I think possible w/ the marvel heros. Hopefully the SHIELD movie is badass so hawkeye gets more added to his character. |
