even when the characters do 180 in the personality department, you can see where it is coming from even though martin doesnt focus on it or makes any segways per se.

in books i dont think it ever was blatantly stated that they had a relationship, or that renly was gay. it was more of an innuendo kind of thing. i am not even sure that i woulda known that they were gay had i not watch the movie first.
In my position it seems like its a good idea(since i've read the books, and this makes the movie slightly different from the books), but i wonder what would your thoughts be had you read the books before watching season 1.

man the one character i really can't wait for is Ramsay. It would be so tough to find the right actor for the role. I've seen people suggest Cillian Murphy and i'd be ecstatic if that was the case. Cillian might not exactly fit Ramsays persona entirely but what a great actor he is, one, i think, who has the ability to pull off the quirkier parts of the character extremely well
