It's a fantasy story that is mostly realism with some fantasy. If you have an issue with that you may as well stop watching, yes.

Personally, I thought it was awesome.

As it was mentioned before, I have absolutely no problem with the fantasy involved in the story, why scream about a lady, who was supposed to be like a witch since it was presented to the viewers when doing a ritual in the fire and if I remember correctly, she even drank poison and didn't die, cause she gave birth to a shadow monster?

If you haven't read the books why panic if you don't even know wtf is that? and If you have read the books and still cry for this then gtfo

Bingo. That was an awesome episode. I don't get how people arbitrarily think some fantasy is ok but other stuff is not. The episode was pretty sweet overall.

after boring and slightly boring first 2 episodes, now i cant wait for next week !

I'm the kind of person that likes to wait until a season is done and then devour all episodes in a span of 2-3 days. Can't wait for this one .
I can read the comments stress-free, as I have read the 2nd book and it looks like the show is still going in the right direction (maybe except these gay scenes mentioned here; not a big fan of that).

dont get me i got nothing against gays but how the media gives extra attention to them nowadays is abnormal

Episodes 3&4 were much better imo and its definitely picking up. Definitely liked this episode and didn't want it to end.

it's not 'hate' it's just a meh ending when you didn't read the books,

so far the story flirts with magic/paranormal stuff and it's great this way, I think it's one of the things most people loved about this show, the fact that magic and fantasy exists in a reality world that feels very real/possible. Now they bring a shadow baby out of no where, if you've read the book, ok, you know what/why/when this was coming, but if you haven't read the book, you were very happy with the fact there was little magic + dragons + weird undead dudes.

how can you be unhappy about something you don't even understand yet? (in reference to those who you claim haven't read thebook are mad about this) fuck some people are really pesimistic

I'll still watch the show, the random shadow guy caught me off guard, especially when I was expecting the onion lord to get it on with the witch.

I mean, this shadow demon is really the only instance of "magic" I remember in the five books I've read. So people can relax now that it's over :O.

I still love the show but I think they're kind of smutting it up a bit too much... they're cutting out so many story scenes and replacing them with sex scenes. Not a terrible thing but it feels a little cheap and oversexed! Also don't like the casting for Loras! Margery is a great choice though, so is renly, stannis, and I think I like lady brienne, even though I'd pictured her uglier and brunette.

Ya i can see why people would think that the show might be "reaching" for story by using something like this, but really magic is used pretty subtly throughout the series. This isn't prison break where the writers are like like "oooh fuck they're out of prison and we need 4 more seasons.. we never planned for this!! I know, lets get them to go back to prison!!"

Interesting though that they're mixing the boat shadow delivery in now when in the books it was supposed to come later. I wonder how they'll account for the people who see the shadow. I guess it will just take place in the castle instead of in the field, and they'll ignore what actually happens in the castle later.
