As a joke I was going to say LP should have people guess the total number of entries and give a ticket to the person that comes closest without going over...but its not that funny anymore ~_~

Not gonna play this one.. 3k+ players on a 10min blinds level will take forever and you'll have to run better than jamie gold on the ME to win it.

It is a good idea tho, such a shame that this happened but im looking forward to the next one. gl Defrag and LiquidMeat.

I was going to offer a solution of having "winners"prove that you have an account on this site, since there are rules in place in order for them to be able to play anyways. They technically shouldn't be able to play [yet alone get rewarded] based on the rules stated. Some simple "Proof of LP.net" membership couldn't be to hard to manifest if they're a legit player o_O

I don't intend to be rude here, but I do think you were being a bit naive to think the password wouldn't be leaked. The only way to prevent this without tickets, is to only allow LPers who have been registered for a month at least and have a certain amount of posts. This will then be a tourney for the LP community and not these mass spammers. I also think as I said earlier, only give out the password before the tournament starts, say 15mins or so, incase any of the spammers have older accounts and try to leak the password.
