<img src="http://admins.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/513e6b03cca91a1ee487a667f926b325.jpg" align="right" style="margin:5px; border:1px solid black;">The Full Tilt Poker durrrr Million Dollar Challenge was a big success, at least for Tom "durrrr" Dwan himself! In this challenge, Tom Dwan would play his opponents over 500 hands in a live heads-up match, to be recorded and televised. Each player would bring at least $250,000 (with $500/$1000 blinds) to the table and play in either Pot-Limit Omaha or No-Limit Hold'em. They would play for at least 500 hands or until one of the players runs out of cash. This event will be televised later, further reading contains some spoilers.

Similarly to his online challenge, this challenge also had various players interested. First Dwan played Marcello "luckexpress" Marigliano. After 500 hands and 12 hours of play, the difference was relatively small, a $22,500 profit for the Italian. "In the end I won a small amount, but I'm happy though, as I won with bluffs," said Marcello. "He raised a lot pre-flop and you have to play tight, but I made some good moves and I'm happy I proved I can play with Tom."

The second challenger that appeared was Ilari "ziigmund" Sahamies. Not playing any scared money, they decided to up the blinds to $2000/$4000 to play Pot-Limit Omaha! The session had lots of big swings, yet ended with a profit of $68,000 for Dwan.

However, the biggest result was yet to come, as Sammy "Any Two" George was the next challenger. Dwan dominated his opponent, first busting him with aces over ace-king, and later putting too much pressure on his opponent with a stone-cold bluff. On the AhJh6h3c board, George check-calls Dwan's bet, and with the 3d on the river, Dwan pushes all-in. After long thought, Sammy George lays down A-6 and Dwan takes the $130.000 pot. That, and he'll get a $10.000 bonus as they decided that anybody who would win a hand with 7-2 would get $10.000 from the other player! At the end of the session, just before the 500th hand, Sammy George was broke again and lost a total of $750.000 to Dwan!

Dwan remained humble over his victory: "I don't think I played too well today, I just think I happened to get a bunch of hands, like I don't think Sammy played badly, he just happened to be on the wrong side of some tough spots. It's easy to look like a genius when you have the best hand every time, and easy to not look like one when you get beat every hand."

With this, the Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge has come to an end, and was a big success according to Matchroom Sports' Eddie Hearn: "The last three days has been a rollercoaster of swings and emotions at the Full Tilt Poker Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge. (...) All-in-all, the event was a huge success and we are already in talks to take the challenge to the States early next year."

More money to lose to isildur :/

If she touches you 60% of the time, and is aggressive with her tits, you have it get it in before she crushes your nuts on the turn

Yeah I was mostly kidding. I read up on him and he could probably wipe his ass with 3/4 million for all he cares.

Props to him though. I wouldn't play durrrr heads up for $50 let alone $750,000.

Nope. He's probably at least 50x better than me so its hugely -EV. If I were to get lucky, beating him wouldn't mean anything because HU has so much variance and I wouldn't be able to do it consistently. I guess I could do it for the "fun" factor and think nothing of it.

rofl. i don't even play poker and i would snapcall $50 for a lesson from durrrr, especially if i thought that variance might give me an opportunity of winning $50

lol i would play nl50 hu vs durrrr for as long as he gave me action, so +EV (he either is going to not give a shit and spew ridiculously, or if he's serious I'm going to learn a lot)
