The reason I ask is that back in like 2010 turning a made hand into a bluff on the river was all the rage but lately I kinda felt the meta-game shifted to just try to hit the nuts and fold otherwise because of that. Here I called and he showed JT and it occurred to me I couldnt think of the last time I saw that play. It might be I have a twisted perception because people know Im a station and just try to hit vs me, given the replies here I guess thats more likely :D |

Dude. The games are more aggressive then they've ever been. People just arent morons preflop anymore. In my experience you were def the tightest player at every 6max game i played with you at 2/4+ So Villain should think your bet folding everything but sets. (Im not insulting you at all, vpip/pfr doesnt really mean anything if you play well) |

lol I wouldnt think you were insulting me, but I have to disagree because you can be tight and a station and I have a long track record of horrendous calls to prove it, not that any of it matters here because like I said Ive never seen this guy before.
The way I sorta feel about the aggression nowadays is people are way more aggressive in cheap spots with small raises and shit but are way tighter and pot controlly when pots get big. Thats just my impression and granted Ive taken a few months off and just started playing again this month so maybe Im judging on a small sample. |
