Unsure since his stats were very loose passive, seem a bit "aggro" to just raise that much. Tanked a bit and folded, unsure since such a drawy board, was thinking he might have a pair and a gutshot, pair and double ender, or something similar more likely.

But talked myself into folding since I thought he was passive

I'm never folding this at 5nl against an 88/3.
The fact he's only raising 3% preflop means he could be spazzing out with 88, 99, TT.
Then again thats only 18 combos, so you could still be in tough shape, but I'm just never folding JJ here at these stakes to a guy playing 88% of hands. Snap call and be happy. Make a note of what he's doing this with.

Just did a quick pokerstove, and even if we apply a range of ONLY sets, 2 pair, TT, 99, 88, and combo draws or draw plus pairs, we are still a coinflip. And I think we can also include some other spazzy hands in his range too like tptk, oesd's, fd's, etc.
Def. a call IMO.

This convinced me, yea, after the hand was looming in my head. "Hmm, unsure unsure"

Makes more sense to call. Maybe seeing skeletons, I often feel the weaker players have betsize tells, but when they get all eager they usually have something. But yea, leaning toward a call reading the replies.

Thanks
