no its not u donk. i raised oop with this just to switch up my game, i hadn't played a hand in a while and my position wasn't too bad. i cbet so often and for him to just call with his short stack he either has nothing or super strong hand so when i bet the turn again and he shoves its like i dont put him on anything. so stfu i got sucked out on

oh please explain why its bad then, is it the double barrel cause i had a good read and dont play every player the same way? or is it the fact i got all his chips in as an 86% fav? cause if i won this u'd be prasing me but instead u gotta say its a bad play. ok -_-

playing 38 is bad
playing oop is bad
2barreling 4th pair no kicker on a dry board is bad
calling a shove on the turn with 4th pair no kicker on a dry board is bad

thats why i made the conclusion that this hand was bad

just because THIS ONE TIME he showed up with something that only had 6 outs id doesnt make it good

a good high stakes play would never get himself in a situation like this
HOTW hands are not just random hands in which the hero has a bad hands and he decides to call and he has the best hand actually

there is a whole lot of solid reason behind the play

and your hand is already wrong from the start, opening 83 from MP, which no good high stakes cash game player would ever do

well it was only THIS ONE TIME that i played 38. And ur not even looking at how much worse the short stack is playing. the only thing he has here is position. he shoulda raised preflop or shoved the flop instead of waiting to pot commit the turn with air when theres a 95% chance i'd call with anything.

yes he played bad
if he posted his hand i would tell him he played horribly

that does not justify you playing bad too
its not a "who played worse" competition

so if your opponent starts open shoving 72o you will open shove 82o?
yes you would be playing better than him
still, you would be playing bad

but they do. and i had a lot of solid reason behind the play. had a non shorty called me i would gave up the steal attempt. his play was fishy like hes just waiting to bluff me. i see it all the time, so i call his shove.

and when they go out of line with liike 32s (which is A LOT different than 83s) its because they played 2000 hands with the opponent and have this specific dinamic going on and due to previous hands they expect to win it w/o showdown and lots of metagame go in etc etc etc

your reasoning for opening 83s was: lets mix it up
