he'd been shoving every hand so it wasn't even likely that he had an ace so I figured I should have about 80% equity. And since I had less than 20% of the chips in play, I thought it was a right call. Am I doing the math wrong?

you're 20% to lose the hand and lose the tournament, if you fold what is your equity in the tournament?
