The only hands a nit balances in his range are the nuts, the second nuts, and the third nuts.

i think it's okay to get Ax to keep valuebetting worse and FD to bluff river

this is like the usual fish line with an FD but since he's a reg... idk

sick spot

i hate short handed for this reason: it is harder to put someone on a hand.

for this one it does not mean you are against AJ all the time. He can do this with any ace if he puts you on a FD and you did reraise the flop so...

i fold since you are deep stacked

nouck   Argentina. Dec 19 2008 04:17. Posts 201

hoe can someone fold this short handed? you could to at least call and hope for c/c on river... nice action killer would be a club then.

thats the kind of hand I put him on and I wanted to shove but nobody plays like this at 25nl so its hard for me to trust my instincts

he prolly did have q10cc.

key to this hand is his flop donkbetting range

traxamillion   United States. Dec 19 2008 04:24. Posts 10468

esp after he flats the flop raise I think it is pretty safe to put him on a drawing hand; if his hand was better than yours he would b/3b looking to stack ur ace

collegesucks   United States. Dec 19 2008 04:32. Posts 5780

shove turn so... villain can only call with better?

handbanana21   United States. Dec 19 2008 04:32. Posts 3037

so u want him to draw for cheap? this is clubs or a weak Ace every time.

traxamillion   United States. Dec 19 2008 04:36. Posts 10468

agree with handbanana

taxing the draw owns trying to let him get there for halfpot

collegesucks   United States. Dec 19 2008 04:36. Posts 5780

he paid 3/4 pot on the turn for river. hopefully he's also setting up a river bluff which we will obv snap if it bricks.

and if this is a weaker ace then i dont know why you would raise this turn and fold him out when you're way ahead. i'd rather get a valuebet in on brick rivers.

traxamillion   United States. Dec 19 2008 04:38. Posts 10468

or jam and let him make a bad call

see thats what my gut tells me but 30k+ hands into 25nl NOBODY is playing this way and I stack off to sets all the time, probly just a bad run but its hard to tell when youve just moved limits and are adjusting

what the fuck how did you not shove this turn, this is a club draw or a weaker ace all day, agreed with handbanana
im going broke here, and you're not even deep stacked at all, if anything just reload

collegesucks   United States. Dec 19 2008 04:47. Posts 5780

so we're just praying that villain is retarded enough to bet/call the turn with a draw, not considering how shoving this turn gets only called by better if villain is semi-competent, while flatting leaves us with way more options on the river and further opportunities for villain to make mistakes...

nouck   Argentina. Dec 19 2008 04:48. Posts 201

why is this always a club draw??

just flat next time and valuebet any decent river.

agree with this.

You played the hand fine. He just got lucky to spike a good river...

Fraser   Canada. Dec 19 2008 07:29. Posts 4605

i think this line is usually a draw, and that sets often lead, 3bet the flop hoping to rep a draw imho. without a better read i'd definitely raise turn to 24-25, obv call a push. but obviously a good spot to take a note.
