I don't get what you are repping with the raise here, I'd almost rather call? You want to make sure you don't get valuetowned by like 65s ro something?
It's like 89 is the only nut hand you could have here, no sets, no real two pairs (T7s maybe?)..
If you had a ten here I might like it (although if he decides the only hand in your range that can call is 89, and shoves that would suck :D) |

bluffs like this work sometimes against players who dont really go through the same thought process as good players do. i think locoo is just simply putting him on a weak one pair type hand that he can't call with. i do this too sometimes, take a hand that makes no sense to raise with, and do exactly that for the lone reason that villain is weak both as a player and in the hand. you just have to make sure villain has no stationy qualities |
