easy calls, your opponent's actions make no sense. his check on the paired board means he doesnt have a piece of that flop and therefore theres no way that T on the turn could have improved his hand. river-blank, easy call.

What are you talking about? Easy call?

im sorry, were you seeing something i didn't? did u think he was checking on the flop with a T or a J? only to make a nonsensical 1/2 the pot size bet on the turn? or damn... maybe you were positive he caught his 2 outer on the river with 77? EASY CALL.

Agreed, it was a really good call. I would put him on a slowplayed J

How is it EVER an easy call when you call 1/3 of a fullstack with A high? Are you serious?

im completely serious. and 1/3 of your stack isn't a liability when it's so obvious that there's a greater than 1/3 probability you're ahead.

why does it offend you that you made money in an easy play?

thanks

I dont see how you can eliminate the possibility of a slowplayed J. Could easily check the flop, then bet, then try and make it look like a bluff or something.

when a player slowplays, there is generally a pretty solid pattern to their betting. think in your opponent's shoes, IF he did have the J, he would want you to hit your hand so that he can extract more value for his hand. you didn't bet on the flop which to your opponent means that you do not have a T and less likely you have another J. continue to assume your opponent has the J, would he stop slowplaying on the turn when that T falls? there is no way you could have improved your hand if your opponent continues to put you on A high.

the 1/2 pot-size 7$ bet just doesnt fit the pattern of a slowplay. if on the other hand he checked the turn, and then made the same 35$ bet on the river to the same blank, i would not be screaming "easy call".

now i understand there is always that naggy little voice in the back of your head who tries to convince you otherwise (everyone has it... even me), but in this case, i just feel that it didn't take too much "instinct" or "feeling" to make that call.

good play nonetheless, you got the chips right?

Nice call, and tontoba why are you so offended that he made a good call and why do you put so much effort into trying to convince him otherwise? jeesh.
