Given your 3-betting dynamic with Rodion, how can you fold this? PapaGun must be showing up here with many weaker hands here. Your betting is basically inducing a shove and you're folding, how come?

I don't play NLHE but isn't his range mostly defined to SC's, some broadway Axs's and maybe JJ-QQ? Would you have called with the As?

I don't think Papa is showing up with any weak hands here as his range for cold calling 3bets in this scenario is prob just JJ-QQ and some AKs

Yea agreed, was thinking JJ, QQ/AK less likely given our heros cards

I can't imagine a NL1k reg (presuming he is one) limiting his range here to three hands.

GTO wise Papa probably should not even have any cold calling 3bet range in this position, so I don't think he is ever wide here.

I'm gonna have to go with zetzet, he really shouldn't be calling much, if you call it feels like you have a strong hand but not one that want to go 4b/call. He can have a bit wider of a range but it's not much wider than that. I like the suggestion of blocking bet by neilly on river, but I think 40$ is a bit too low. I never really end up doing those blocking bet in 3b pots so I don't know how well they end up working.

i agree with zetzet. Villian also snapcalled my x/r, which was quite telling given he ought to have a very polar range. (either AK/TT or KK+). It's a very unusual spot since no one ever flats preflop here.

That's what I thought too until I saw the other couple hands you posted. It seemed like you were going after this Rodion guy, hence my comment about him flatting weaker although it is odd that he wouldn't just 4-bet.

Interesting spot for sure.
