I guess blocking A5 A3? oO the jack doesn't really play tho
supposed he wants to bluff some aces and picked this one for the highest kicker so he can control his fequency? |

this used to be called punting a stack because everyone sucked at poker  . It's a fairly reasonable bluffing hand, A5o and A3o open at 100% frequency on the button, so having an ace blocks the most amount of boat combos, and the jack is an overcard to bluffcatchers. Regs donk lead small here wider than optimal, probably true even at the nosebleeds, reason being is the ev lost from donk leading wide is extremely marginal and ev gained from mistakes vs it is higher. But also the solver will donk lead i dunno something like 25-50% and mixing everything, too hard to implement as a real human strategy, so a lot of people will just lead with everything. so you should be raising very light on turn in linus position, way lighter than equilibrium, linus is basically the god of nlhe poker, if you don't threebet bluff here on the turn enough you are gona get crushed by him. |
