Bet? I feel betting here is standard bvb? Villain is 24/19/0 over 44 hands. WTSD 1/4 times though.. small sample. Probably get called by an 8 and 99?

your kinda shit out of luck, this is a terrible spot and a terrible river

idk, this is nl5. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if an 8 or 7 called bvb. I guess there's more hands that beat me then I beat though.

you argumented that people are more solid now on nl2 when you 3 barreled AKo on some dry 8 high board hoping to fold out overpairs and now you want to make a 3rd bet here with this hand for value calling it standard. Your logic is interesting.

Not so much arguing people at nl2 are solid, as much as that's just the way I'd think about the hand. Also had quite a few hands on that guy, and I think he was capable of making a fold with weaker overpairs in that hand. Sorry that wasn't so clear, and not sure why you're trying to start stuff?

I am not trying to start anything, just trying to put it in perspective. Your plays are sometimes very optimistic and it seemed to me the logic behind your play is contradicting as you try to justify bad plays, so was just trying to point it out as I remembered that hand. No offence meant.

Ah ok, just took that wrong then. I'd tend to agree that I do have an optimistic viewpoint on my plays sometimes.

I'd bet the turn bigger simply because he's calling with a lot of hands we beat, c/f the river. Everything hit except for JT which we block, everything we beat will check most likely

i was going to say check/shove

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen

I'd like to nit it up and say c/f, its not like we re getting exploited anyways

For what it's worth. I did bet river, villain called with 76o. Pretty sure that's a losing play vs most peoples betting range on this river. But I think it helps my theory that people play extra terrible bvb

thoughts in regards to balance:

i kinda agree with c/f
it's not an extremely easy spot for villain to bet with their whole range, since we can have a check/raise range (i'd think that we're check/raising a lot of flushes here, can also check/raise some blocker hands like AhX)
we're pretty rarely if ever going to have no showdown value, other than the AhX hands so having a checking range works well. just have to be careful not to be only checking the weaker parts of our range
