I called folded to cb once, 3bet once folded a couple times.

meh i don't think theres any other way to play this hand
i'd discount some spades and big draws, would expect those to ck/shove turn at least some of the time, instead of bet and be in an awkward spot if raised
the small ck/raise on flop is kinda interesting

50bb behind on turn, tons of combo draws he can call with + your own potential or perceived bluffs so just ship turn imo

this is HU with TPTK in a 3 bet pot and 100bb and the board runs out fine. no point in going any further than that.

I won this hand actually, he flipped over 4s9s I first posted this as a lol hand then deleted results as It didn't feel great calling

I guess the category of players who use weird lines with the nuts as "fags" isn't exactly politically correct though :o

in 6max when guys raise 50-60% you 3bet linear ranges of 15% from sb and 10-12% bb. when its HU and guys raise 90%+ you 3bet 20% with the same 15% as sb vs button and an extra 5% that flops very well.

say smn calls something like this TT-22, AJs-A2s, K4s+, Q6s+, J7s+, T7s+, 97s+, 87s, 76s, AQo-A7o, K9o+, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o

you got 40% equity with 89s and 38% with 45s, 37% with 64s
and I don't see that a big difference between the top pair outs in 3bet pots - you won't really realize significantly more equity in a 3bet pot with 89s over those hands no? Unless it's deep or match got out of hand and he calls with all suited junk you dominate

Where vs a 90% range
you got 49% with 89s and 39% with 64s, 40% with 54s and it's harder to show down 5 or 6 with worst kicker than 8 or 9 with 8 or 9 kicker

These hands near the bottom of your range just play worse as flats and gain more by 3betting, I don't really see why you'd want to 3bet 89s over these?

It's different in 6max. In SB your equity is cut by bb squeeze, you need to realize more of it when you call and see flop
Also vs 50% range the equity gap is way smaller between 89s and suited junk and the tp + 8/9 kicker is a lot weaker as opposed to vs a 90-100% range
