I think c/c is far superior to donkshove unless he has a seriously weird cold4b-range.

If Raconteur is reasonably wide, 3betting surely cant be that bad?

I don't watch NFL so I'm not familiar with these references, this hand reminds me of this:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

why would you rather check/call with no showdown value; might as well fold out some of his trash. Unless you think its worth trying to get a free card

I think we're far, far ahead of anything he folds to a shove.

PLO fish checking in, but this is my thought as well. This is one of those hands that looks pretty but we get called PF almost every time, we're OOP with 4598/ds, a hand that never really flops amazing unless it's the nuts, our flushes are dominated, our straights are dominated to wraps, even our trips and 2pairs are often dominated or get sucked out on easily.

As for the flop, we have equity vs his range, but when we're called(which I think is very often considering this board and the size of the pot), often times we are drawing to a backdoor. If he's 4-betting every AAxx, and good double suited hands, how many times is he going to have a bigger heart draw?

I think he's referring to small rundowns like 4567/ds that will 4-bet PF and shove this flop when checked to. Those hands are folding to a flop open shove unless he has 7 high FD in which case we dominate.

i get it, worse hands. the question is how big of a percentage does it make in his range realistically

Stim_Abuser   United States. Sep 20 2013 18:11. Posts 7499

Didn't know it was possible to get it in with only 5% equity in omaha.

Very small. But no one folds anything else here. I can literally not think of a better hand that folds unless his 4b range includes like Q + 3 low cards.

Like, the ev-difference is probably smallish, but it's like the difference between openshoving A8 or A6 pre, it's a difference and it's hard to debate, at least that's my opinion.

DustySwedeDude   Sweden. Sep 20 2013 19:39. Posts 8623

Maaaybe 9988ds or something but we block that and it'd be a very weird 4bet.

We have 9 hi?

Given spr I think a fold is the best outcome almost regardless of what hand he holds

8765 or something is what he folds. He never folds a T or better, and probably not even bot pair with anything.
