Poker is such a sick fucking joke. Variance affects this game more than people think it does. Fucking lifetime downswing in equity.... lose every flip, every 60/40, get set up, lose 3-1's, repeat.
People have no idea.

Poker is a joke.
U can play fucking great and have a big edge over 80K hands and still be down 20 BI no problem. ( Doesnt happen to everyone but it definitely does happen enough)
U can play medicore breakeven poker and still win 30BI in 30K hands with a bit of luck ...
or u can be a happy motherfucker who always runs neutral luck in his poker life.

long term is not 1 day week month year or century. long term is your entire life, and by the looks of this post, you are pretty young, so just remember to keep grinding and eventually you'll win some 40/60s to compensate, and most likely you will catch a lucky card or two that will project you to mtt wins etc in the future.
why bemoan your own bad luck, when you can look at the broadest time spectrum and understand how much volume one must amass.
pretty much all im saying is play solid, stop bitching, if u can't handle it then find something else, realize this is a game and your "idealized lifetime downswing" is most likely either dillusional or over a small sample compared to the rest of your life

btw Salamanca casino was my 1st casino and my personal piggybank for my first few yrs of play, go there whenever you can on the weekends. Games are softer than the falls and the dealers are much more friendly. |
