Heyoooooo long time no talk LP
Been busy with working while starting a new business - computer repair (gonna take down the geek squad one city at a time! rawr~~~~)
also I've been working on my music you need to hear section so that should be up in a day or two when I get the time for some better reviews of the music.
Anyways onto the weight loss prop bet.
I'm currently 6'0'' 225 lbs (god knows wtf % body fat, but I'm sure it's not a healthy amount)
My brother is 5'11'' 190 lbs (more fit than I am but still not where he wants to be in terms of % body fat.)
The challenge for me getting down to 160 in 6 months
The challenge for my brother is to get down to 10% body fat from where ever he currently is at in 6 months
Starting
--------
Sept. 1st
How it works
------------
Every month we put $200 bucks each into a slush fund
at the end of the 6 months there is a potential of up to $2400.00 for the winner.
However we break it down so it works like this
actual/goal = %
so lets say I lose 50lbs
so we have 50/60 = 83%
my brother on the other hand hits his 10% bf goal so he is at 100%
the difference is now 17%
therefore he gets his original $1200 back plus $204.00(17% of 1200) of my money.
I feel like I may have gotten the short end of the stick here but either way it will be a great motivational tool to get our asses back in shape.
extra incentive: every time we get drunk we add 100$ to the slush fund, however the drunk incentive is only a winner take all(no getting % back). So if we get drunk 6x that's an additional 1,200.00 up for grabs whoever comes out victorious.
Where you come in!
------------------
I've never really 'eaten clean' in my entire life. I was always in sports in high school so I stayed relatively in shape without much effort.
Now I'm out of school and don't really do much. I recently got a gym membership for this competition though so I'll be putting this to good use.
Anyways any tips or pointers in losing fat/weight would be much appreciated. I'll probably start a blog later as well and update it weekly with progress. Maybe even post pics and hopefully see a beastly transformation
Anyways I'm off to get fucking plastered before I can't drink any more for 6 months :3 Haven't really drank much over these past two months but shi... got to go out and get down before this life change.

My number 1 advice would be to not join a commercial gym unless u know what you are doing. If not, you'll get coached by a "fitness instructor" which will point you into several cable pulls in differents angles with sissy weights while listening Lady Gaga. That won't help you.
For weight loss excercise i'll recommend getting a kettlebell and learning to use it; it'll be both fun and challenging. Send a PM and i'll send you a good book. Diet is most important though, but I don't feel qualified to comment about it =( . Just don't do what I described above.

160 at 6ft is probably not healthy eh?
and I think body fat % is a bit of a different bet considering other factors like how easy it is to build muscle from a genetics perspective (ie. the easier it is to build muscle, the easier it is to drive his muscle weight up to trim his overall fat % down in relation to his weight - at least thats my understanding of it)
For your part, just to an obscene amount of cardio. And for whatever muscle group you're doing that day, just do lighter weight, maybe 60% max and do a shit ton of reps (I'm thinking at least 20+) |

And for eating clean, probably lots of vegetables and fish with some chicken. I dunno if protein makes you gain weight or not, but I think one of the benefits of protein is muscle repair. So thats probably going to be super important if you cut out a lot of/all red meats. |

Cardio is the way to begin with. During the summer I was trying to do push ups and sit ups every day as many as I could do and soccer once a week. Even though I am quite skinny (120 somthing lb 5'10) it really started to show some progress after 4 weeks plus. My advice is to go for long distance running/walking at least 2/3 times a week and try to stay away from candy/sugar/fast food, you will show steady progress in the beginning. As soon as you start to feel it as a casual standard to do push ups/sit ups/ cardio, every day/second day you will feel like beast, trust me!
/ Max
Good luck and pm if you have some questions or whatever! |

Says the guy with like 30% body fat. His brother obviously wants to lose body fat so his muscles have more definition as opposed to being hidden under a dense layer of fat. Obviously he "gives a shit about bodyfat".
At 160 you're basically gonna look like Corey Hill, hopefully your legs don't snap. |
