Played pretty bad today overall.. Yesterday I was feeling pretty iffy too. I think if I don't feel 110% when I start my session tomorrow, I'm just going to take the day off. Disappointed that I played very suboptimally though. Just feeling really shaky at nl200 since 3 days ago when in the first 30 minutes of my session I got insanely coolered for 4bi and just lost every other pot otherwise lol.
I feel like my mindset is still a bit delicate right now so I'm going to play only nl100 until Friday evening.
This is my month so far, kind of depressed tbh when I look @ rossro's results.. I feel shitty about it tbh.
Overall month

Gonna read poker books tomorrow.
Nl100 for the month

no fuck that The tone of this blog comes off too sad I am pretty much fine, just slightly disappointed in myself is all, and frustrated with running bad @ my shots for a very long time. Really should just play nl100 and pad my roll up/withdraw some more.... need to tone down my ambitious BRM approach since I obv have such a weak self confidence. |

look at it this way...
You have made 2K in 3/4 of a month and with rakeback that is probably between 2.5-3K. Prorate that to a full month and that is close to 4K. I'm guessing that you are probably not paying taxes on this. To net 4K a month in a real job, you need to gross 6K a month which works out to 72K a year. Just to put that in perspective. my sister who just became a professor at a top university has a starting salary of 65K.
32K hands in 3 weeks of 4-6 tabling works out to about 20-25 hours a week which is half the hours of a "regular job" and a third of the hours of a demanding job. And you can do this work chilling at home while smoking a joint and squeezing in a jerkoff session in between sessions. You set your own hours and you have no commute. You have no boss to belittle you.
You can focus on the running bad and the stress of grinding. Or you can step back and see the big picture in how fortunate we are.

Thanks Tenbagger, I think about that frequently but for some reason the 'bright' side never gets as much automatic brain priority as the 'sad' side.
I've averaged 26 hrs/week btw !!!! |

I've noticed a lot of regs @ NL100, when I PTR them, they are long term winners at NL100, but are losers at NL200. I told myself two years ago that I'll move up to NL200 when I can solidly beat my current level which I defined as maintaining a win rate of greater than 2.5ptbb/100 or 5bb/100 for 3 months in a row. It's been two years and I'm still stuck in the same place. Had two months in a row quite a few times but that third month always gets me. =(
I dunno why I suck, maybe I should get a coach or maybe all the coke I've done has made me dumb. But at least I know my limitations and I am sure that I have a higher EV playing at NL100 than NL200 with my current skill set and I'm fine with that. 9 tabling NL100 as a supernova, if you can even maintain a 1ptbb/100 win rate, then that works out to an hourly rate of $25+ which is not that bad considering that you set your own hours, you can play from your home, and the game is somewhat entertaining. For me, I'd rather not deal with the variance and the stress associated with moving up unless I'm absolutely certain that I can maintain a win rate @ NL200 of at least half my rate @ NL100. |

I am REALLY sure I'm a decent winner at 1/2 and I am not comfortable settling yet hehe. Just gotta get myself feeling secure & confident is the thing..
I am up at 1/2 (lol 5bi over 42k hands.. but w rb that's 2.2k profit niiiiiice) and I'm sure that I am a much bigger winner than what my current sample says, its just I've had so many instances of sick tilt (that I'm trying to source and solve) at 1/2 and this is really what's killed my winrate/confidenc. Today I tilted 2bi off in a really big pot (called it off when I never would normally / knew it was spew.. that's y I am disappoint. today :/) |

Hey man keep at it and poker is for you. You've put so time and hard work into it. This isn't that bad of a month though and I'll be happy as hell when my NL100 graphs look like that. |

I think my graphs are similar this month, lots of up and down, some nice high points, huge lows, and a killer NL100 graph while NL200 keeps raping me cause that's where I get coolered and NL100 I run gudt. stop stealing my life! |
