Crushed NL50

So I took my first shot at NL50 about two weeks ago after finally grinding my bankroll up to $1200 at NL25. I moved from PS to FTP when I started NL50 and I have to say, it seems like the players on FTP are a lot worse than the players on PS. FTP players are constantly stacking off with midpair and draws against me, which never happened to me on PS. This could definitely just be short term variance and I'm just running into really bad fish, but NL50 on FTP has been considerably easier than NL25 on PS.

So I have to give mad props to edzwoo, who sweat me on many occasions and is the main reason for my success with poker. He turned me from a 10/6 nit to a 16/14 winner. I've actually only played 8 sessions at NL50, but that was enough to bring my roll to $2000. I know I'm on a sick heater, running at 10BB/100, but I feel like I'm ready to take a shot at NL100. I am a little worried though, because I actually only got 6800 hands at NL50 and I don't know if I'm moving up too fast.

+ Show Spoiler +

Btw, has anyone seen that show, PokerStars.net - MILLION DOLLAR CHALLENGE, on FOX? It's definitely just a way for PokerStars to promote their site. They seem to announce a promo or tourney on pokerstars every two minutes or so, haha.

id wait for a bigger sample size tbh and a bigger roll too

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident.

nice job regardless if it's a heater or not...

You see...whenever I start feeling sick...I just stop being sick...and be awesome instead...true story...

nice job. Yeah a bigger sample size is needed. I'm guessing at the very least 50k hands. In my experience, those fish who constantly stack off with draws and mid pairs are the biggest threat to your bankroll lol. But oc you want them around.

Is this 6max or FR? If its 6m you can still loosen up quite a bit, but only as much as you feel comfortable with.

I'd recommend you play more hands and have 25 to 30 buy ins for NL100 by the way. Nice work though.

this is for FR

two choices:
-ride your "heater" all the way to 100nl, but it's pretty easy to overlook if you're just running good now so when you start to lose at 100nl, it might confuse you
-just play with solid br management and get a bigger sample size, that way when you move up and decide to move back down, you can move to a limit you know you actually beat. more conservative and safe, less confusing.

Yeah, those two options are basically what I'm struggling over. I know I should play more hands at NL50, but man do I want to take a shot at NL100, haha.

nothing wrong with taking a shot at 100nl as long as you move down if you start losing.

Nothing wrong with taking shots as long as you have the discipline to move back down if needed.

If you can put your ego aside and be honest with yourself if the shot goes bad then go for it imo.

happened to me at prima like last year. totally annihilated 50nl 6max then moved up, sux i didnt move down quickly and waited for -20buyins at 100nl before lol
dont let the shot taking fuck up your head tho and move down once u sense you're not comfortable playing well coz of the stack sizes. try adding 1 or 2 tables first before moving up completely.

Yeah, if I move up to NL100, I would move down if I dropped 2BI

If you have the discipline then do it. Play less tables than usual if you play more than 6.
