usually 50/50 profit split you keep rakeback unless you don't make money. Have a set amount of hands or period.

normally like 50/50 split till they make what you loaned them.. so like if u loan someone 2K they ship u 2K and keep 2K and the stake is over.. or just 50/50 till u guys agree to stop. or u can do 50/50 with makeup so if they lose the buyin u can force um to try again.

so with makeup meaning the staker can make the stakee go on his own dime to recoop the losses?

and the 50/50 split, we're talking after the original stake amount is sent back and 50/50 split on the "white meat" right?

first one.. yes

2nd one normally 50/50 until original stake amount is made normally means u ship him 2K he ships u back 3K and keeps 1K.. or he could ship u back 4K and keep 2K.. its up to you. Its the profit ratio that matters..

also normally staking is a bad idea, unless your staking someone for live.. its just like if they didnt cut it, they arent gonna cut it.. there is no reasonable explanation if you can dominate, to need money.. i mean like for me, if i loose my whole BR tomorrow, i can just snag up like 200 and rebuild, i wouldnt wanna waste my time with a stake.. so just be carefull.... i say live is the exception because live plays amazingly softer obv and the stakes are like 10X higher and start at 1/2 so it can be hard for the stakee to ever be able to have a starting roll.

It can be a good idea to get a cash stake. Let's say someone has crushed solid stakes like 1/2 or 2/4 or whatever for a solid amount of hands, like both stakes 250k+ hands or whatever. But they cashout parts of their roll constantly for living/balla expenses. They keep on practicing very aggressive bankroll management and they get their face doomswitched. They lose a lot of their roll and drop down to 0.5/1, maybe even 0.25/0.5 but aren't really willing to move down any lower because, come on, they played 2/4 for fuck sake. At this point they are somewhat life tilted and/or didn't even have that much money left in the first place from the 1/2 and 2/4 bad run and just lose it all.

This doesn't mean they aren't crushing, they just handled their bankroll somewhat badly during a sick downswing. Yes, they were too stubborn/too much ego to move down and did make a smallish mistake but a player like this, I'd definitly consider staking.

Also, the yer or no staking is pretty much about opportunity cost. If you think you'll be at your normal stakes a lot faster by just grinding back up from 200$, go for it because it means you keep your independence and don't need to split profit. If you think that, even after splitting the profits, your hourly will still be higher on the normal stakes you played, that would make the stake a much faster way to regrind your bankroll.
