Okay so here u go

I was a big fan of WC1 and WC2
I have finished the complete single player campaign of wc2 with both Orcs and Humans at least 5times.
I played a lot of WC2 over IPX Lan protocol with friends back when i didnt have internetz
I was a very big fan of Starcraft and played more than 4000 1on1 multiplayer games from 2003-2005 .. i was C- PGT ladder

In 2003 a friend of mine gave me WC3 + TFT since i wanted to test if it was worth buying.
i played the first 4 single player missions and then started a B.net game of TfT
The game lastet 40minutes and i had no clue what to do ... Didnt know shortcuts, heroes or any BO
I just chose orcs and spammed some orc warriors
i was never in danger the whole game but i somehow didnt manage to destroy his base

after 40min i got bored and quit

After that game i deinstalled WC3 and never played it again

Today on Amazon i bought a MMA instructional dvd that a guy who is part in the same german MMA community with me created
Its called NO-Gi grappling for MMA
While browsing through Amazon i saw some WOW commercials ( I never played that game) and decided that i might check out how much
WC3+TFT costs.

11,65 € for teh package.

Now i do finally possess an original copy of WC3 and TFT

Game is def fun even if you bought it to just donk it up on the campaign. I liked the storyline.

Well i do think its probably the second best ballanced game right after starcraft1 ?

Considering GG.net rankins has

4 Orcs 2 Nightelfs 2 humans and 2 undead in TOP10 it doesnt seem too imba

+ i dont want to get pro ...
I just want to have some fun while waiting for sc2

i started to play w3 2weeks ago also, chosed Orc cos everyone was saying Blademaster(HERO), was imba, and well it is. If you want to get little deeper in W3 you can check out vods on www.gomtv.net with english comentary. Grubby(Orc) won last season vs some Ted(Undead).

Well in starcraft terran was imba from 2003-2005 which was more than 6 years after release
Boxer,Nada,oov,Xellos;Midas etc Terran pwnd everything .... 2005 kespa was mostly 5 Terran in TOP 7 >-<

after that the big zerg show began with Gorush,Julyzerg and finally Saviour

Late 2007 to early 2008 was the time of the Protoss with Bisu and Stork being Protoss #1 and #2 in Kespa for more than half a year
at some point there were 5 Protoss in TOP 7 kespa

Nowadays we have zerg dominance again ...Jaedong,Kawanro,Effort and Zero pwn everything ... while with inter.calm another Zerg monster is on the rise to the top

huh actually before the boxer era zerg rulled all over the place
+ GoRush won the first wcg right? the competition wasnt named wcg but something different but still it was the same

And yeah, the first wcg was WCGC (the last C stands for Challenge) and it was ilovestar vs [Star]GoRush or something.
God. Memories...

About wc3, even though it seems like it's a follow up of wc2, there are heroes so yeah, winning with only warriors seemed a little bit silly.
