Here we go...

My rebuilding excercise was going well until today.
I was running good in the morning, but then I sat down when I came back from the town...

Got stacked 1x KKvAA, 2x AKv AA and lost all flips but one. But w/e thats poker. Unfortunately I lost it and started multitabling again... and fell 4BI's while multitabling and playing really bad. I just can't bloody control myself...

I KNEW I had hit my stop loss and I KNEW that multitabling is the worst thing to do. But nope... I still couldn't do it.

By my super strict rules, I withdrew to 1k and will move down to NL25 at 900 should that happen.
Poor tilt control and multitabling urges are the only things keeping me at NL50 for so long, and nothing less drastic will work.

if it makes you feel better, in this case because the samplesize is relatively small it has very little implication on how good you are playing

I am crushing, CRUSHING nl50. I never ever lost more than 5BI while playing 4 tables at micros/lowstakes and my averages are always around 5bb/100. I constantly work on my game but I am 100% certain it is way above this limit.

That is if you don't count the inseparable tilt control and spew management. I am glad that I went under my 'BR downsizing threshold' and it is one of my lessons. It would be much worse if I started to run good and the stigma from the past that multitabling is good would return.

So it doesn't really matter how small sample it is, what matters is that I broke my clearly set rules, and if I can't obey them it automatically means my game can never be considered 'good'. No amount of advanced theory, range based thinking and hand reading skills will ever matter if I won't be able to stop hypertilt multitabling and losing huge chunks of what I gained in the process.

I wouldn't consider what you've managed failure - just gathering experience? I'd be quite happy to fail "as well" as you

You are being results oriented, I don't mind losing the money (The graph is extremely standard and not a bad day at all), I have one simple goal - to not start multitabling when I run bad.

I have gone mad and done it every single time I did run bad for a couple BI, on more than 20 occasions since I started only 4 tabling, and that is a huge fail of self control to me

I understand what you meant. I wasn't referring to the one day or graph but the fact that you are clearly generally capable of crushing the stakes. Anyway GL with the self control.

take it easier on yourself in the short term, man. Play way more hands too. Just don't be so quick to get down on yourself. Poker is hard.
