to win?
... this isn't really even a whine post (though it can easily be interpreted as one). I was @ work yesterday thinking about some poker, when it dawned on me that I seriously could not recall how it felt to win... at all. I gave it like a good 10 minutes, to no avail. I jsut can't seem to conjure up what it felt like to win, and to be a winner...
It's actually pretty frightening... especially because I am positive it affects a lot of my postflop decisions...

Winning feels pretty good, but we have a tendency to feel that we are going to win more than we should.
Breaking even feels like a total waste of time, and losing feels like utter crap.
Most people have a negative sloping utility graph in poker. |

"Most people have a negative sloping utility graph in poker."
you prob mean "most ppl have a diminishing marginal utility graph in poker", ie every extra dollar feels like less and less win |
