so this 70 vpip fish who bet and raised everything showed up on my table

the table was full of like 9/7 nits otherwise so they pretty much obliged me to basically play the fish hu while they waited to spike nuts

fish went up to 700 bbs of about 90% my money, then a reg spiked a nut broadway straight and stacked his 68 offsuit for 200bbs, and he left.

its the worst beating anyones ever put on me. *sigh*

at least he wasnt playing 97/0/1 over 100 hands!!

The only way I have ever found to actually beat these guys is to just play insanely tight. The person who inevitably stacks them, even if they just sat down, is the person who flops quads to their dueces, or turns fullhouse to their 7h flush. You can either wait for this hand to come, or maybe finding another table really is the best option, at least if it's totally taking you off your game.

I saw this wicked cool video of JC Alvarado taking on one of these guys by playing 60/44/4 or so. He basically iso-raised every single hand against this guy, Ax, Kx, Qx, PP's, SC's, etc. His entire range. He just did a good job of thin value betting and knowing when to fold.

bye now

i dont know if you're like, joking, but. its not even that high variance to repeatedly get it in 70/30, which is what i'm doing, and i'm playing very +ev....... what the hell are you even talking about? :O

well i find that these kinds of fish bet monstrously with all sorts of hands so either he goes broke pretty quickly or runs up a huge stack in a short amount of time... thus, high variance

sick donk, of the advanced ones that can stay in suck out godmode for hours. I've also been owned by many of these lately.

I was just commenting on how everyone always agrees that when a fish comes in with godmode on they just somehow win every single hand against you no matter how +EV your play is. Since I dont want to be forced into playing a 10/7 game at a 6max table where I would normally be playing 22/18, the table is no longer profitable for me, even if the fish is.

bye now
