for the upcoming WSOP I'd be interested in playing a couple of the 1k's and the 1.5k's if I can find a decent backer.

What is a good % of what I should sell off and what I should keep for myself?

Also how are the payouts generally handled? ie if its 50/50, each person gets 50% of amount won?

or would it be backer gets less or vice versa?

I think 50/50 = 50% amount won each after you pay stake back

50/50 after makeup is like like, a freeroll deal for good players.
If your backer buys 50% of you (and you put up the other 50%), then he gets 50% of amount won unless you guys stipulated otherwise (ie. $1000 tourney, 10% of your action is $125, so 50% of your action/winnings would cost your backer $625)
